Bron is cooked in terms of being a number one guy on a championship team. If he wins again, he won't be Finals MVP. If he is the best player on your team at this point of his career, then you are not a serious title contender. Bron had his time, but he fell short when it comes to what MJ did. Ya dudes trying to put him on that level are lowering the bar, and discounting greatness. You can't do that when the bar is high and has already been set. If you can't match it or surpass it, then your not on that level.

Been the best for the longest, more than anyone in NBA history

Is the best all around player in NBA history

Pretty much sums up the case.. if you're the best for the longest, while being the best all around player then that's your GOAT case
2nd and 3rd best player of his generation linked up to stop him. :wow:

I can see that.

People judge Bron based on who/what he is, relative to MJ. Problem of course is that they're such different types of players.

Bron at his core is Magic Johnson, built like Karl Malone (height/weight/frame) but athleticism on greater than MJ, Kobe etc. He's a freak of nature, similar to Wilt but having the longevity of Cap.

Jordan is the archetype for scoring wings. Curry, Wade, Kobe, Kawhi, AI etc., are all HOF or future HOFers that are respected for their success but no one considers them on Jordan's level....which is why they don't get any hate. Bron vs. MJ is an actual debate, hence all the threads, podcasts and TV sports talk devoted to this topic.

The playoff success and staying in Chicago at his peak is what separates the two for a lot of fans. Plus MJ is a favorite for many fans of a certain age...same way old timers view Wilt or Kareem as >>> MJ. It's all about rings until you bring up Kareem and Russell...then it becomes about something else.

Personally, I never understood the point of comparing an oversized point guard who just happens to be the all-time scoring champ versus a 2-guard that is the prototype two-way player that all other wings will be judged by for the next 100 years. It's like saying "who's better, Magic or Kobe?" They play different positions and were given different responsibilities.

Style = MJ was more fun to watch

Resume = MJ has the rings but Bron has the stats and consistency/longevity.

Raw talent = Bron could do everything Jordan did but was bigger. Man to man, MJ isn't stopping Bron even if we consider MJ better.

Intangibles = MJ. He only chased himself while Bron is STILL chasing Jordan

No its not! Were you guys saying this about Kareem? Hell no! You guys are just bias, cause you like Lebron. This topic has to be looked at from a neutral point of view. NBA has taken away the physical play from the past. Bron has benefited from not having to see that type of play on a night to night basis, so his body has held up for that long. Also he took shortcuts to team up with certain stars, so he wouldn't have to carry like he was doing in his first stint in Cleveland. Who has he really elevated as far a teammates after his first stint in Cleveland when he decided to leave? He has lost more than he has won on the main stage. He ushered in the chase rings and team up while in you prime era. Longevity doesn't mean a damn thing if you are not in the driver's seat to win. It feels like you are trying to create another accolade for him because he is still putting up good numbers for his age. It's the current rules in the game that are benefitting him, but his game doesn't really have an impact like it did in his prime. His play in the playoffs the last 3 to 4 seasons have proven that. He can only win when he has multiple allstar level players on his squad.

Ant might be it :wow:
:mjlol:Bron at Ant's age was a legit MVP candidate, breaking all sorts of records, and leading his team to 60+ wins with Boobie Gibson as his running mate in a league with Duncan, Kobe, Shaq, Dirk, KG, Pierce, Nash, AI, T-Mac in their primes.

I don't think ya'll watched prime Bron

I'm convinced Bron Stans don't like basketball.

99% of the basketball fans on Earth love what Ant is doing but, because it doesn't revolve around LeBron Raymone James, you got a problem :mjlol:
