The problem arises when you consider 43 % of America are Independents. 31% are Dems and 29% are Republicans. That means the majority of America does not have a say in every Primary Election ( Delaware, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine,Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming). New York is a high delegate pivotal state in timing which can shape media narrative more so than it already is.
As a whole, the American electoral wants to funnel you into one of two categories without your choice. Then have you choose.
Another part to the problem is that Democracy as a practice was never built on fairness. George Washington, Jefferson, dikk Cheney etc were/are all rich slave owners. Do you think back in the day (colonial days) a shoe shop owner could close down and campaign on his 5 pence or w.e to get elected to public office? This country, constitution, legal precedents were all built from economic influence. Modern day has people wondering how things are so unfair when they have always been this way and were always supposed to be.
The internet is bringing people together as a collective conscious and we are slowly moving in the right direction. The modern day issue isn't how to get money out of politics, or elect a certain person. It is making sure whoever is in office does not pass anything destroying Net Neutrality or increasing censorship like China. Watch Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner, maybe Clinton, Trump, Cruz, try to manipulate the Internet into a more restricted entity to control what the populace thinks more than they already do.
Oh and I'm undecided what I'm gonna do in Nov.
