This thread is 5 posts talking about maybe voting for trump from 3 sanders supporters and 7 HRC supporters jacking each other off about how wise they are.

Yes, you are the only ones who understand what SCOTUS does. You are the only people who can tell Trump is racist. No one else understands that Republicans don't care about black people. You are sage men.

Overall good thread

I'm actually pretty sure you and me fall into the same category when it comes to political beliefs..... Big fan of your socialism thread and book recommendations. I do not like HRC, and it really puts a bad taste in my mouth that anyone thinks that. There just aren't any better options if Bernie goes down imo. I honestly wish Elizabeth Warren had run, because I don't think HRC would've been able to win that battle.

Trump is not getting the nomination anyway. The republican establishment don't want him. They can easily change the rules on a whim.

That's why I'm hoping he runs third party and Bernie runs 3rd party

They will split the vote 4 ways and leave a Libertarian to have a viable chance . . I'm hoping for that. Bernie and Trump should cut a backroom deal

Nah I agree supporting trump isn't cool. He's a piece of shyt who emboldens fascists. I'm just tired of watching neolibs tie universal healthcare and wanting to avoid executing middle eastern children to ethnic cleansing.

Now this would be interesting.... probably wouldn't happen. But it'd be interesting.

My issue is perpetual lesser evilism

It's one thing to use it at a given time and under specific circumstances

But to have lesser evilism be the default and expected choice should tell you something is badly, badly fukked up

Lesser evilism should only be accepted when there's a clear approach to take afterwards to move beyond that paradigm...

But this is like lesser evilism for the sake of lesser evilism :dahell: what is being done with those few centimeters of space that a neoliberal president supposedly opens up compared to a Repub?

While I agree with your premise of perpetual lesser evilism being an issue, the Democratic party is being forced to move further left. 4 years of HRC won't change that momentum. Bernie is a good indication of the path the majority of this nation wants to take. Remember Millennials are the farthest left group this nation has ever seen. They aren't just going to stop being left because Hillary is in office. The goal is that eventually there will be enough votes for the left portion of this country to either create a party further left than the democrats or take over the democratic party all together and make people like Bernie and Elizabeth Warren the status quo. Which also means the Millennials need to get their asses up and vote in the smaller elections as well the way the Tea Partiers did.

Letting Trump, Cruz, etc... Destroy the country and put a strangle hold on the SCOTUS won't help anything and will leave an even bigger rebuild project than what Obama faced. Not to mention the countless lives especially minority lives that will be ruined by a Trump or Republican presidency. Feel free to read some of the links I posted on page 4 for more information on that.

Thats more a symbolic vote then practical. Im just not trying to see Donald Trump take office :yeshrug:
That's the state of mind that enables this madness. Do you know what doing the same thing and expecting a different result is called?

The American public in 1992
"Thing really aren't working out with these Republicans, let's try a Democrat"

The American public in 2000
"Things really aren't working out with these Democrats, let's try a Republican"

The American public in 2008
"Thing really aren't working out with these Republicans, let's try a Democrat"

2016
"Wow, so I guess it's Hillary Vs. Trump . . this is really the election I never would've wanted. I guess I'll have to pick the lesser of two evils :jbhmm: It doesn't matter that most of my peers feel the same way. We couldn't possibly vote for another party's candidate"

Hmm . . I wonder why things don't work for us :dwillhuh: . . I just can't seem to wrap my head around this :patrice:

You people are all sheep :pacspit:

It's disgustingly pathetic how dronish of sheep you people are
