Imagine being being able to generate your own customized porn scene via text. That's coming and it will make pornstars irrelevant.

The best thing we can do is advocate for the ethical use of A.I. and vote in smarter politicians who'll regulate its usage carefully. A.I. taking away many white collar jobs.. A lot of skilled physical labor may remain intact. But its only a matter of time before that's impacted as well.

Once AGI is established there really isn't much we can do. We seriously need to be pushing policy makers to prepare for this so it isn't such a shock to the general public. I kind of slept on A.I. for a while thinking it wad something we wouldn't really have to be concerned about until the far off future. But aftet listening to leading experts in the fields I've came to the realization that A.I. is about to totally reshape our way of life. Just like climate change its going to be major disrupter and shatter the our old ways of doing things. We're living in historic times and most people are competely oblivious about what's coming.

In all seriousness, I have already started a course on machine learning.

Companies are hiring for AI position at an accelerating rate right now. They are expecting this to climb until 2025. So, get in while you can.

You need a masters or phd. Its not as easy a path as web development cause its R&D and its kinda math intensive, if you consider the linear algebra and descrete math involved. You cant bootcamp your way through these linear algebra matrices.

I think you could make the jump if you already had an unrelated but analytical stem degree, but im not gonna lie to a bussiness major and tell them that they will be making the next Siri-GPT8 after 6mos of self study.

I work with a guy doing AI work for our group now who only has a bachelor's. All companies say they want an advanced degree for roles but these are hard to come by and if you have a bachelors in a relevant field with the knowledge, you have a chance. Given the growth of this sector right now, the leverage is with us more than the employers which means, you can flex the requirements if need be. I know as I've used this to my advantage when looking for jobs when I know the market has more demand than supply for certain skills.

Also, I had to take linear algebra for my degree, and it's just a bachelor's. I guess I should mention I'm already a software engineer with experience as well so, I may have better luck than some in switching over.

I dont think ai is going to replace developers as of now. Someone needs to know what to do and where to implement the code that it generates..U better learn how to use it as a programmer to increase speed and productivity.

shyt is going to be plug and play...right now you might need to know a little programming... after ...it will simply be drag and drop not just frontend but also backend.
