It's spooky times. I just started doing web development and then this ChatGPT comes along. I'm not going to beat AI, imagine Chat-GPT 12 . so what the fukk do i do? Is every type of work involving computers now going to be obsolete? They'll just make an AI Add-On for SSH, so the AI can login to your server and it will build the server/deployment. I feel naked out here, i've wasted my time. I don't even know what to do next. I might as well travel to tibet and hug trees. It's a wrap on employment. I need a new skillset now..

Thats crazy, most people thought when this was being talked about at first, they would get rid of lower jobs first but how wild is it that developers made themselves obsolete first, especially with companies paying them high salaries, you know they would love nothing but get rid of that expense. Spooky times indeed.

Porn is already impacted by A.I.
Imagine being being able to generate your own customized porn scene via text with A.I. generated pornstars. That's coming and it will make onlyfans irrelevant.

The best thing we can do is advocate for the ethical use of A.I. and vote in smarter politicians who'll regulate its usage carefully. A.I. taking away many white collar jobs.. A lot of skilled physical labor may remain intact. But its only a matter of time before that's impacted as well.

Once AGI is established there really isn't much we can do. We seriously need to be pushing policy makers to prepare for this so it isn't such a shock to the general public. I kind of slept on A.I. for a while thinking it wad something we wouldn't really have to be concerned about until the far off future. But aftet listening to leading experts in the fields I've came to the realization that A.I. is about to totally reshape our way of life. Just like climate change its going to be major disrupter and shatter the our old ways of doing things. We're living in historic times and most people are competely oblivious about what's coming.
