No disrespect to pac and big, but someone's legacy will be 10 times as big when they die. Big and Pac were both at their peaks. If Snoop got murdered around 1993, DMX around 2000, Eminem around 2002, your example of 50 cent in 2005, or Lil Wayne in 2008, they probably would've got the same recognition as Pac and Big, no disrespect to them, but every rapper who will get murdered on top of their game will have a much bigger legacy

I agree with your basic sentiment, but you also have to take into account the circumstances of both their deaths. Not only did they die, but the fact that they were beefing and died so close together definitely added to the romanticism of both of their legacies.

If Biggie died of heart attack in 97 I don't think his legacy would be nearly at the same level it is today.

This logic doesn't apply to Tupac. Your point might sound good to people that don't know better but it's rendered mute once you realize that Tupac's output in 4 years exceeds the output of artist's that lived 20 years beyond him. Quantity . . and definitely in quality
