Abraham is the best child actor I think I've ever seen.

Movie was dope. I was hoping some bigger meaning or understanding of the war conflicts would be revealed. But it seemed more the point was made was the warring in the end was all for nothing.
Did yall notice when the Commandant was showing Agu & Strika the little battlezone scope thing. How he neglected to really let Strika get a look. Strika looked like he felt some kind of way about that. Thought he was gonna have beef with Agu over it.
And Preacher going back into the bush reminded me of them Shawshank prisoners hanging themselves because they couldn't handle life on the outside.

why would agu and striker beef over that, that was the commandant showing that agu was his next victim

You're speaking in the thereafter. I was just revealing my thoughts in the moment. You could see that Strika was bothered. In the moment I didn't know where they were going with that. Kids are petty, thought Strika might lash out in some way against Agu for being the new teachers pet.

amazing movie. was great all around. this might have been one of the best shot movies i've ever seen, it was beautiful.
the little dude who played Agu was remarkable. that friendship between him and striker a true childhood friendship.
my favorite scene is when they were getting pumped up then took the bridge, it was so gangsta. idris did his thing. as did the entire cast.

This is a movie that's got great pacing, fantastic acting and wonderfully shot scenes.
Fantastic through and through, the actor who played agu showed great emotional range.
And the violence was fitting, it was ugly, it wasn't prettied up and made nice or acceptable like
most movies would do it. It was gritty, gory and in your face, it made you look at shyt that you normally
wouldn't have to stomach.
