This makes sense. Hollywood makes more movies then anyplace in the world. Actors all over the globe have practiced and studied American accents. It's much rarer to have a Jamaican based movie and it would make sense to try to cast it with real Jamaicans.


This is a bullshyt argument. especially when you have people from the area available.

I'll never forget Narcisse in Boardwalk empire in the meeting with Nucky and Chalky and Chalky called him Jamaican. And Narcisse pointed out calmly he was Trinidadian. We don't get much screen time, so I will always be happy seeing a Trinidadian character. Shoot I'm gonna purchase the Trinidad hockey Jersey from the mighty ducks 2, lol
