I disagree less people voting is the remedy to exposing the shame government for the actual sham that it is.

A'ight, say you're right, and less people voting is the answer.

Of the 300 million Americans, who gets to vote and who doesn't?

College graduates? Tax payers? Earners over a certain amount? People over a certain age? People with a certain IQ?

Because whatever metric you choose, black people and other minorities will be underrepresented in any of those metrics.

Cool.

Only 100,000 of the best and brightest get a vote. Who chooses those 100,000? Because if society as a whole is any indication, the people making that decision are going to be white, so maybe you've got 10,000 of those 100,000 voters being black.

Would you be happy knowing that every 4 years, 90,000 white people got to choose who the president was?

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have every single person above a certain age get to vote than a select few, because when it comes to "select", whatever field it's in, "select" tends to mean white.

Plus it's the basics - you need more people to vote because it's harder to pull a fast one on a large body of people. It's an overused quote, but it applies:

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

You would think that, but I think Neitzche was right when he said "In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."
How else could you explain the cognitive dissonance that the majority of americans have regarding politics and economics?

Yeah you're right. I get emotional when I think of the fact my grandmother couldn't vote because of her skin color. Or my grandfather. Or the fact that people conspire to ensure people who look like me can't vote. How dare I be emotional about an injustice

You talk like you aren't talking to a black man whose grandparents and great uncles didn't go through the same thing while living in the deep south.
Raw emotionalism will lead you nowhere though, rationalism and logic will.
I would hope you drop the emotionalism and start building your passion on a foundation of logic.

I just said don't vote, I didn't say a central power picks and chooses who votes, so it seems that you have set up a strawman because you either didn't understand what I wrote or you're being intellectually dishonest.

The reason I went the central power route is because unless you can also convince those poor (and not so poor) white people in those red states to also put their vote up to expose and shame the government, not voting is literally the worst thing you can do.

They'll always be rilled up, so you can't fight their ignorant vote by eliminating yours.

Not voting is essentially conceding defeat, because they're not gonna stop voting because they see you/us doing it.

Nah it isn't the worst thing you can do in my opinion. The worst thing you can do is see a corrupt state in which the democracy/constitutional republic is just a sham, and the real power players do what they want while pretending their are two different parties and lend your support/involvement to said system. You give the system the legitimacy it needs to function by acting like it is anything more than a show.

So to me the solution is simple, stop voting in that system, that is the best course of action.

That said if we see different things as the problem its simple why we would think the solutions would be different.

Well my logic comes from not believing everything is a sham like you tho. Hopefully you can drop the condescending attitude and build on a foundation of humility

If you think I'm being condescending that is projection on your part. I'm not being condescending, I'm just not emotionally driven on situations that I think are important. I mean it just like that, since I don't know you well enough to know if you are being tongue in cheek or anything like that, so I just take what you post at face value.

I'm sorry though if that is what you gathered, wasn't my intention.
