I remember in middle school that the major foreign affairs conflict we were studying was Kashmir between Pakistan and India. All the teachers kept talking about how it would escalate out of control. Curriculum fail.

Let's be real here, either side lays down their arms there won't be peace. Peace is no longer an option for either. Our kids will probably be discussing this issue in their lifetimes.

I already said it's obvious they don't want peace. They probably want to take the entire land and set up a legitimate hard border, probably with walls.

I just find some of you naive in thinking that the other side is composed of all Gandhis who are welcome to recognizing the State of Israel in any capacity, and will remain peaceful. That shows me there is some clear bias in your viewpoints.

I don't understand that either. Supposedly it's a thing among Jewish Americans, don't matter if their families have been here for generations.

That seems odd.

But I was reading up on it and some Americans went over to Europe to fight in the Spanish Civil War.

The US allow US citizens to fight for another country? How is that possible? I thought there were rules against that and holding official dual citizenships.

There is no middle ground here. Short of some extraterrestrial threat or pending global doom, this will continue until one side is completely extinguished or there is external mandated international solution.

They have every right not to recognize a hyperviolent, fascist regime that is hell bent on murdering them.

The more relevant question should be does Israel recognize Palestine? Of course not. If it was up to them they'd drive them to the Sinai and dump them in the desert, annex Gaza and build even more settlements. Hebron/West Bank/Gaza, the little slice of land will keep shrinking until its no more.

Religion is the worst man and it is terrible with these differences. U.S and Eu is the blame for this mess.

People who are familiar with the conflicts of these two countries, what will it take for other Arab nations etc.. to jump in the fold again.
