@#1 pick said it best...it feels like Marvin Williams 2.0, where we go for the player with more potential, but not necessarily the best player or ready to play Day 1. Hawks need to draft a potential star at #3...JJJ seems like an elevated role player

This draft going to stress me out if we take that bum. Hell I'd rather swing for the fences and take Trae Young or MPJ if that's the case.

I don't see how anyone can differentiate Bamba, JJJ, and Bagley. They are all on the same plain as I see it. I mean JJJ shot 39.5% from three and 80% at the ft line on measurable attempts. His pops played in the NBA and is a coach. It's in his bloodline.

I like all 3, it's just something about Bagley. He balled out during the tournament which I put alot of stock in. I guess it's the Beasley dominating in college but not translating to the next level vibe I get.

JJJ couldnt even stay on the court averaging 21 minutes because of constant foul trouble. Thats my issue with him. Just like Marvin couldnt stay on the court

I'm not gonna lie...I'm concerned about the momentum about Jaren Jackson Jr to the Hawks. I copied this from Peachtree Hoops:

Michael Cunningham
Will Hawks draft Marvin Bagley III or Jaren Jackson Jr.?

Jaren Jackson Jr. is going to be the best big from the 2018 NBA Draft

I don't see Bamba as an option for us anywhere in the mocks and Bagley seems less likely now. If Schlenk fukks this one up I'm gonna be pissed :francis:
Bamba is popping up

The thing with Beasley people forget other then him being a mental case is he turned out to be only six seven and a half. When I heard those measurements I knew his upside would be limited considering how he plays

Bagley a legit 6’11” not that they’re similliar players but just comparing size

I still don’t know if Bagley will ever polish his game up enough on offense to be a great scorer in the nba but the potential is there.

I don’t see that offensive potential with Mamba or JJJ

I know they’re much better on D then him but in today’s nba I’ll take the great offensive player over a defensive specialist who’s limited offensively

For all people talk about how Gobert is a monster on D he was practically unplayable against the Rockets because he’s a zero on offense.

I remember Sacramento wanting Dennis. Is it possible to send Dennis plus something else for their #2 so we can draft Doncic and Bagley?

My bad I read that wrong...I thought u said dennis and #3 to move to #2.

Dennis value too low to trade into the top 10 right now tho.
Yeah, maybe. If we could pull off getting #2 for Dennis, #19 and #30 I'd do it. I don't know how to figure out values of picks and all but even if we threw in #34 I'd do it as well. Having #2 AND #3 in this draft would be golden for us.

MW couldn't handle the ball, lacked killer instinct, and had something wrong with his core strength. His destiny was always to be a role player. JJJ will be a 5 in the league.

In college, Marvin had a decent handle for his size. JJJ has the same core strength issue that Marvin has. The same exact issue

Bees had a 7-0 wingspan and 8-11 standing reach. I bet Bag had worse measurables and that's why he didn't go get tested cause that would have hurt his stock. You can't say he's 6-11 cause it's not official unless some team measures him and leaks it. He probably has similar length to Blake Griffin. Blake overcomes his shortcomings with elite athleticism along with being very physical.

Bamba is simply a more fluid, agile Gobert. He's better at everything than Gobert skill wise. You name it ballhandling, dribbling, touch, passing, shooting, etc. Gobert can't switch and Bamba can for the most part. He's also a factor in transition, more so on offense than defense.
