Everyone knew Bron is in the Raptors head except Schlenk & Toronto stans.

And does he always give awkward interviews or is John & Hugh just trash

This cavs team was terrible all year. On paper they shouldnt have made the finals. Bron just did some GOAT shyt. Nobody would have predicted bron would be hitting fade away 3s for the win

To be fair, the Raptors had a lot of people fooled but I knew how shyt would go down because Derozen and Lowery are fukking frauds , SMH, same way I knew Horford would eventually pull a no show on the big stage

@staticshock to answer your second question, Schlenk is kind of a hard guy to figure out. He gives short answers, doesn't have much of a personality, intense...when you combine that with the sustained mediocrity of the willfully ignorant Hugh Douglas and the veteran yet uninteresting John Fricke it makes for mediocre radio when you're listening for hard core sports talk. Hugh has limited to almost no working knowledge of any sport outside of pro football (he speaks in alotta cliches) and Fricke, although more knowledgeable, doesnt really elevate the conversation either. If I didn't love sports so much, local sports especially, I wouldn't listen to them but I do b/c there's not many local alternatives in the morning

I think brehs are putting way too much stock into the Schlenk picking Toronto thing. He's a GM, not a sports analyst. Hell, after watching how the Cavs struggled against Indiana, I picked Toronto to finally get over the hump. Too. I'm willing to hold that L

Sure, it’s easy for the fans to say that, and he probably knew it in his mind too, but I’d rather him put up the front that he believes a well-built team can win out than just concede all victories to the team with the 1 best player on it

There was absolutely no reason to pick the Cavs to win shyt other than “they got Bron”. There was really nothing else to factor I don’t want my GM thinking “well, they got suchnsuch so there’s no way anybody is gonna beat them”. If that’s how he thinks, then how are we gonna compete in the next 10 years? Because we’re not gonna get any one player better than Bron, Simmons/Embiid, or Giannis. Golden State pre-KD won because they had the best TEAM on the court, not the best player(depending on how you feel about Curry). I’ll take a GM who believes that the best team on the court will beat the worse team with the better player over one that chases(and almost certainly fails to get) one superstar to solve all our problems.
