the only boondogle is the caravan itself
So the statement is correct in that we sent troops to Texas and now that they're going to California we're sending additional troops to California.

It is correct that troops have been sent all across the border, that includes Texas and California
It’s not a waste, it’s a contingency to make sure what happened at the Mexican border, where migrants where throwing things and rushed the border overwhwleming Mexican soldiers ,doesn’t happen at the us border
Some migrants are already climbing the walls, acting like it can’t happen
