How long until ICE runs up in someone's church? :wow:
Not soon enough. Render unto Caesar. :demonic:

Or more fittingly

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Romans 13:1

How long until ICE runs up in someone's church? :wow:

That's like the one few places immigrants can turn to and not face deportation. But the moment they leave...........

ICE Agents Arrest Men Leaving Fairfax County Church Shelter

Oscar Ramirez said he had just left the hypothermia shelter at Rising Hope Mission Church on Russell Road in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County, Virginia, when about a dozen ICE agents surround him and other Latino men.

"'Stop right there. Stop right there. Stop right there. Stay by the wall, where we can see your hands,'" the agents said, according to Ramirez.

The group of men had left the shelter about 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 and crossed the street when the ICE agents ordered them to stand against a brick wall.

Ramirez said the agents questioned all of them and scanned their fingers to find out if they had criminal backgrounds. Agents quickly cleared Ramirez, who has a green card, he said.

But he and other witnesses told News4 that about six Latino men were arrested and taken away in two vans that pulled up to the area where they had been stopped.

"This is the first time I see something like that," Ramirez said.

"It surprised me. I mean, I think it surprised a lot of people who seen it actually happen," said Marvin Roach, a guest at the church shelter.

"They were clearly targeting the church because they knew that they stayed here in the hypothermia shelter. So they were waiting for them to cross the street and then jump on them," said Rising Hope Mission Church Rev. Keary Kincannon.

An ICE spokeswoman said the agency's "sensitive location" policy was followed. The policy requires agents to avoid arresting people at places of worship, schools and medical facilities. The spokeswoman emphasized the arrests took place across the street from the church and not on church property.

Kimberly Glowacki: It just feels wrong.

Michelle Craig: The community is better for having someone like him.

Matt Leliaert: I mean, he showed up here with just the shirt on his back and he's a restaurant owner 20 years later. I mean, that's-- and he worked his butt off to get there, I've seen it.

They're all strong supporters of Roberto Beristain, though four out of six of them voted for President Trump.

Dave Keck: I voted for him because he said he was going to get rid of the bad hombres. Roberto is a good hombre.

Why would any of these people trust what Trump has said? Say, I'm Drug Dealer X(hypothetical), I'm an illegal gun-toting, dogfood(heroin) selling thug. A fed agent(obama) calls me up and say that I can sell narcotics, but don't tote a gun. Now, a smart person who isn't emotionally stunted would know that I'm doing multiple illegal things. Now, another Fed agent(trump) comes at my crib and find all of my dogfood. They arrest me, but I use the example of one of the feds(obama) that promised I wouldn't go to jail. I knew it was wrong to be selling dogfood, but I was doing it anyway. I'm just saying that ICE's full job and other immigration agencies in almost all countries can hold anybody who is in violation for court proceedings. Doesn't matter if you broke 1 law or 15, you still broke the law.

See the problem here is that you came in arguing your mind instead of arguing the facts on the ground. I will continue to repost this interview with Trump supporters because it is THEY who had the right to vote and it is THEY who voted for Trump. They were the ones who trusted him. And as a result, many of their friends are at risk of losing their lives.

Look at the examples you keep using. "It's a crime." "It's a felony." "If I was drug dealer x." That's the vision in your mind of someone escaping drug wars and exploitative labor markets that were propped up by Presidents that YOU SUPPORTED. If I were to ask you to name the last military dictatorship to fall in South America, not only would you get the year wrong by decades, you wouldn't even name the right country.

shyt isn't sweet to our south. Nobody forced you to come in here bringing up hypothetical situations. Like a Trump supporter, you spoke your reality, which doesn't actually exists outside of your mind.

Stop strawmanning me. I'm not here caping for the dumb neoliberal policies that allowed a wealthy latin-american class to extract the wealth from the bottom and hoard it with a plutocratic system. I'm also not caping for the United States military industrial complex which has run amok the world since the early 1900's. I can be for better income distribution and highering living standard for latin american's without caping for wealthy cac's using them as exploitative labor in the states(agriculture and meat production). Hell, I was warning people that Trump and Obama aren't going to be friendly to illegal immigrants, especially Trump using it as an easily used tool to deflect from his shadiness.

You boxed yourself in with your first comment and had the resident HL racist right behind. That's on you.

Man mistakenly detained is tenth immigrant to die under ICE custody this year

An undocumented man who may have been mistakenly arrested by federal immigration agents is the tenth immigrant to die while under ICE custody this fiscal year.

Rolando Meza Espinoza was arrested at work at the end of March and had been under federal custody since. On June 8, Meza Espinoza—who suffered from anemia, cirrhosis of the liver, and diabetes—was hospitalized due to "gastrointestinal bleeding,” according to an ICE statement. When Meza Espinoza died in intensive care two days later, ICE never bothered to inform the family, instead letting them find out on their own when they called to check in on him the next day.

This private immigrant detention center has had three deaths in three months

Immigrants are dying while in ICE custody, and it’s a problem that seems to be getting worse. Last week, Vincente Caceres-Maradiaga, a Honduran national, collapsed while playing soccer at the Adelanto Detention Facility, a privately operated federal prison operated by prison “profiteers” GEO Group. According to ICE, staff “issued a code blue and immediately began efforts to resuscitate” Caceres-Maradiaga, who was receiving treatment for both hypertension and an umbilical hernia while under detention. But Caceres-Maradiaga died while en route to the hospital, becoming the ninth person to die in ICE custody this year, and the third person in three months to die at Adelanto. According to Mother Jones, “since it opened in 2011, Adelanto has faced accusations of insufficient medical care and poor conditions”:

As Mother Jones notes, despite concerns from members of Congress and immigrant rights advocates, the city of Adelanto instead decided to extend GEO Group’s contract until 2021, guaranteeing Adelanto a minimum of 975 detainees at $111 each per day. For deadly private prison groups like GEO, it’s always about profits first, with the Daily Beast’s Betsy Woodruff noting last month that the company stands to rake in huge amounts of money under Donald Trump’s mass deportation roundup. GEO Group stock surged nearly 20 percent the day after the election—Trump’s opponent, popular vote winner Hillary Clinton, pledged to put an end to private detention centers like Adelanto. In California, legislators are attempting to take steps to rein them in:

:yeshrug: But hey, as long as they're not black right? Private prisons are evil, unless they're used against undocumented immigrants. And then it becomes :manny: "they're criminals".

My coli pro-blackness is A1.
