An Oceanside minister supported Trump. Now, he's getting deported

Conservative Trump supporter getting deported and still supports Trump because of course he does.

“Trump said, ‘Let’s keep all the good people here and all the bad people out,’” Ramirez said.

“That’s great, but I’m here,” Ramirez said of his detention. “I’m not saying I’m the best person in the world, but I’ve tried to live a good life.”

He said he supports the Republican agenda on both fiscal and social issues and that he still supports Trump.

The conservative mindset in a nutshell. Work to make things harder for yourself while thinking "it would never happen to me."

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Undocumented usually means you snuck over the border or overstayed a visa. Both of which are serious felony's and thus, committing a criminal act.
not saying the bold isn't true, but, wtf, "the perp overstayed his visa, try to take him alive, but :yeshrug:, he knew the risks, it's the same as selling kilos of cocaine, sex trafficking, or murder"

After 8-month journey, El Salvador woman arrives in Canada — and launches challenge to refugee agreement

A woman who fled death squads in El Salvador crossed the border at Buffalo to Fort Erie. She was immediately apprehended under the Safe Harbour Agreement (which says that you must seek asylum in the first safe nation you arrive in).

Immediately civil libertarian organisations in Canada launched a case in court for her to stay in Canada, arguing that under the Trump Administration, the United States can no longer be considered a safe harbour for refugees.

(Move the Statue of Liberty to Toronto.)

A judge hearing initial arguments in the case gave a ruling allowing her to stay in Canada while the case is argued. The government argues that she should have applied for asylum in the USA. She argues that the USA would deport her to El Salvador and its death squads without considering an asylum plea.

Her family’s harassment by death squads is not under dispute. The only question before the court is whether the USA continues to constitute a safe harbour.
