And Cube said it without hesitation.. So matter a factly and Yella nodded in agreement immediately... This wasn't PC that was foreal

When it comes to making SONGS and doing it consistently, you get input/help. You got to... No one is THAT creative and consistently creative to not get help somehow.

You fake purists don't want to believe it but it is what it is... RnB nikkas definitely do it (Keri Hilson, Dream, Neyo, etc) but it happens in all genres. Other artists are saying the same shyt. Don't shoot the messengers for something you don't understand:yeshrug:

I don't think most of the dudes that are bashing Drake for having ghostwriters ever said that ghostwriting wasn't common in hip hop. Dudes just stating that it used to be frowned upon if you considered yourself, or if others considered you, an elite MC.
I don't ever remember it being so frowned upon, if anything Meek is wack for trying to expose him for doing this.. Just cause Drake thinks he is an all time great, it don't mean I ever did or that was general consensus

Ain't no one said anything about ANYONE not writing the majority of their raps. Damn why y'all niccas always go from 0 to 100? People been pointing to a few ghostwritten verses to say Hip Hop is dead and all people in the industry is saying is that collaboration happens. Nas has used ghostwritten verses here and there but he's still a lyrical beast. What is so hard to understand?

Example number 3244332 of an industry guy further dispelling the coli myth of ghostwriting being uncommon.. But dudes are so stubborn that they gonna spin this into him being pc or some other conspiracy bs

I haven't seen ANYBODY say that ghostwriting is uncommon.

That's Drake stans trying to point the finger at everybody else because he got caught with another mans hand up his ass all while trying to gain credibility as a EMCEE.

Any of the supposed "flat top" "real heads" blah blah blah know what the deal is. Ghostwriting has been around from the JUMP, and so has been separating the wheat from the chaff when we start talking about who are the GREAT EMCEES in this culture.

Drake is now exempt from that conversation. Meep was except whether he uses ghost writers or not.

And as much as I love Cube he's been a sell out, not expecting him to switch it up now especially on a promo run involving the history on a group where it was mostly 2 people penning everybodies rhymes...he'd essentially be saying "fukk them, I deserve all the credit" to 2/3 of everybody involved :heh:

Did you even read what i said?

If we're judging mc's then obviously writing your own lyrics matter

If we are judging how good a song is it doesnt matter who wrote it

Two completely different things bro

But isn't that what this Drake shyt is about? I know the songs are alright but he ain't an mc.

Again just cause Drake considers himself one of the greatest it doesn't mean I ever did, I just don't like him any less after finding out he is indeed more of a as he put "singing nikka" than a rapper.. I been said that, lauren hill was another person people kept confusing as a rapper when she was r&B shyt mary J is considered the queen of hip hop soul, when to me she was just an R&B artist that meshed well with rappers.. Drake may write more than yall want to give him credit for, I doubt he is a complete fraud like yall keep saying

He was always in the credits for the song.

Ray Tyson

:patrice:

Yeah he says he wrote Rebel of the Underground and a couple verses on other tracks on 2pacalypse Now, and is credited as such...i just pointed out Trapped because the irony was too much considering homie's username
