Like I was saying, if he had really leaned into it with Arabian Prince and made it really obvious what he was doing I think it would have worked better. I was never a fan of that style but I see what he was going for, but I doubt many would get it.

We get it. L.A was heavy into electro back in the days and this song is pretty much him mumbling over Hasim - Al Naafish verbatim. He might actually just be rambling over the instrumental completely untouched. That shyt is terrible. I know Too Short used to do similar shyt on his albums before Jive but come on.
LL COOL J surprised me this year with his album these old school rappers still got it, im not sure about this Cube album first 2 songs were good so farThats basically what i expect from my old favorites at this point. Get a suprise occassionally. But for the most part its just "Good to see hes still doing something he enjoys". As opposed to me being blown away. Maybe Andre 3K was right.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Not expecting early 90s Ice Cube, but it was an enjoyable listen.

Yo when I first really discovered a cube on AMW, this nikka was the illest with the bars and in depth story telling. Not only did he fold under pressure for social issues, this nikka on some rap, clap, trap shyt.
