Like I was saying, if he had really leaned into it with Arabian Prince and made it really obvious what he was doing I think it would have worked better. I was never a fan of that style but I see what he was going for, but I doubt many would get it.

We get it. L.A was heavy into electro back in the days and this song is pretty much him mumbling over Hasim - Al Naafish verbatim. He might actually just be rambling over the instrumental completely untouched. That shyt is terrible. I know Too Short used to do similar shyt on his albums before Jive but come on.

Thats basically what i expect from my old favorites at this point. Get a suprise occassionally. But for the most part its just "Good to see hes still doing something he enjoys". As opposed to me being blown away. Maybe Andre 3K was right.

LL COOL J surprised me this year with his album these old school rappers still got it, im not sure about this Cube album first 2 songs were good so far

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Not expecting early 90s Ice Cube, but it was an enjoyable listen.

The throwback feel was a good touch. Ice Cube is making music he enjoys at this point in his life.

I think I'm the only person that liked part one. Part two might be his worst album, though, either that or I Am The West.

Part one was bad, part two was trash...but part two actually had hits..go figure lol
