i mean how do we know he's at his ceiling offensively..he has a good midrange jumper and is athletic enough to do some work down low with his frame and strength

ibaka can easily be an 18ppg guy in the post and with his defense that would make him better than blake who flails his hands on D

Maybe he will become more consistent with the mid range, but I haven't seen anything from him that tells me he's going to develop post game

wouldnt be my choice to build around but for this theoretical question you could afford better pieces with Ibaka than Blake.

You can build a playoff team around Blake. You can build the Boncats around Ibaka.

If you switched Ibaka and Blake right now, the Clippers would still make the playoffs and be better defensively.

The Thunder would've probably lost to the Spurs with Blake out there. The Spurs would've left him wide open and he wouldn't have been able to knock down that mid range J like Ibaka.

As far as entertainment value Blake>>>>Ibaka.....he makes for a good highlight

LOL @ putting pieces AROUND Ibaka.

Ibaka's gonna be the next Perkins. He gonna get a GM in some trouble. Dude has Durant, Westbrook, Harden and even Thabo, Cook and Fish pulling people off of him and leaving him shots where he might as well be shooting in an empty gym.

Blake has people actually trying to defend him when he's on offense. Ibaka is good for what he is, but he ain't THAT good.

Blake=Amare 2.0 without a jump shot, I'll take the rugged defensive stopper over blake any day

You wild with this analysis. Blake wouldn't need to hit a wide ass open shot. He'd take it to the rim and maybe get a plus one. Ibaka can barely take a dribble or two without hurting himself.

ALSO, they wouldn't be able double off Blake like they are Ibaka which would leave more one on one matchups for KD, Westbrook, and Harden. They might even be able to run the offense from the post a bit and get them more wide open 3's. That perfect game really warped folks view of what Ibaka actually does. There's a reason they let him get ridiculously open shots

You acting like Ibaka isn't a quality starter or something... Just because he isn't putting up as many points doesn't mean he isn't one of the more valuable players in the league. He plays his role well.

Plus Blake hasn't really lived up to his status just yet. The highlights are cool, but he not impacting the games like that. It took CP3 to make the that franchise really relevant again, and even with 2 all-pros they were only a 5th seed. You need depth in the NBA.

ibaka...

better defender, similar rebounders......Much better midrange jumper that is only getting better and smoother whereas blake has had that stiff ass jumper since OU

i dont think u watch basketball if u think both guys are equal at rebounding the ball.

Ibaka jumpers are uncontested. no shyt that his will fall more than Blakes.

TWO WILDCARDS THOUGH

WHO BELIEVES THAT BLAKES KNEES WILL ACTUALLY HOLD UP?
WHO BELIEVES THAT IBAKA IS ACTUALLY 22? :deadrose:
