I wish Sony would make a separate Spider-Man while Tom Holland is in the MCU

Furthermore, if you break it down, what makes it >>>> than any MCU movies? The action? barely had any in the movie. the action we did have was just batman versus nameless thugs.
The Villains? Most of the villains were just thugs and the Riddler is kinda mid. Cinematography? The entire movie was orange or in shadows. Gotham is supposed to be dark but thats not a pass.
The acting? eh it was fine. Nothing stood out particularly like Heath ledger did. it was just a decent batman movie. nothing terrible but nothing great.
Better writing, directing, and lighting

Disney is terrible for dulling everyone's sensibilities

Meanwhile MCU hasnt had a movie as good as the latest Batman

:russ:

They just took a different approach to the cbm genre and literally spider-man was better than this and I think no way home is just ok

NWH is a mid-tier Marvel clusterfukk and still better than The Batman by a hair.

Better Writing? :mjlol:The whole movie was based around the detective angle of Batman and he doesn't even figure anything out without the bad guy telling him. In the end dude just surrendered of his own volition. Anti climatic af. Batman didn't even need to be in the movie and the outcome would have been the same. The villian still sets off bombs and floods the city the end.

Better Lighting? :mjlol: They whole movie was orange or dark grey.

Better Directing? :mjlol: see the above points. The direction was the weakest link of the entire film.

The writing, I won't concede it but I see where he's coming from. Even if you thought all those elements were good, good enough to put it over the top of everything else, especially when you factor in some of the acting, action and dialogue, fukk no lol

It's a good foundation to build upon, for a Batman I don't even wanna see, especially now that DC is looking to streamline continuinty.

I don't understand Sony, because they spend a lot of money on film production, but won't spend the extra money for good preproduction staff.

sony should lean all in on animated films

visually live action can't fukk with it

it's a waste of creativity to only have animated films stuck as children's entertainment in the states

into the spider~verse showing them the start of the right direction

I'm not sure they own animation rights, do they? i thought that was different than live action. Like Marvel still has 100% ownership of the comics and cartoons. just the live action was sold to other studios like Sony.
