I keep seeing people saying that they got to scroll on their phone whilst driving, you don't have car play / android auto? Every car I've had in like the last 5 years had this as standard, even my crappy skoda

As funny as the washed jokes are I’ve had the same thoughts recently. My whip doesn’t have a CD player though and I don’t think I’m committed enough to change the system. The other argument against it is I personally love having all music just at my fingertips most of the time. I literally jump between new trap music to player shxt to old school/90s/2000s hip hop, to house music to some underground shxt in a single car ride. I do agree quality lacks a lot and for those days I want to just let one of my favorite albums rock top to bottom I definitely wish I had a cd player.

Grew up on cassettes and cd's, worked as a car audio and home audio installer for years, the need for quality sound never left me. Got 2 vehicles, one has a factory 6-disc cd changer, the other I pulled the stock radio out and put a system it in. Very old school but I love it, Sony Mobile ES cassette/radio tuner head unit that controls a DSP/digital crossover, along with 2 MiniDisc changers (one is a headunit) and a 10-disc cd changer, all connected with bus and optical cables. 3-way component separate speakers, a 12" sub, and 2 amps. Still got an aux input if I wanna plug in the iPhone or Galaxy. Part of the system below......

My damn Bluetooth acts stupid randomly and either won't connect to my phone or won't play any sound

So I keep cds in the whip just in case. As mentioned before, audio quality is way better. Only hassle is having to swap cd's everytime you wanna hear a different album, but it gets the job done

Believe it or not, some Lexus cars up to like year 2023 models still had cd players. Their customers trend older so they kept cd players in the vehicle. The LC 500 is an example of this. The 2024 model is the first one without a cd player LOL.

No CD player in mine. Not mad though. Sounds better, no need for internet. I keep a small USB hard drive loaded with music as a backup.
