My brother is 13. My wifes brothers are 27, 26 and 21 respectively.
No, I wouldn't trust any of them with my son.
I know my little bro wouldn't do anything but that's just how I am.
My wifes siblings on the other hand all have kids of their own and are VERY irresponsible. They don't raise their kids at all. Couple that with the aforementioned fact that their family has child molesters all up and down the bloodline and my point is made.
My wifes aunt was molested by her brother at 12 years old. He was in his 20s. By the time she was 14, she had already been with 20 or so men and had a baby and her mom kicked her out of the house. That sequence of events started with her being molested.
My wifes cousin(male) was molested by that same person above when he was 9 and he is now 30 and gay. He is traumatized to this day.
My wifes youngest brother who has downs syndrome was molested as A BABY by his uncle; the younger brother of the guy mentioned above.
My wifes other aunt was molested by her father who is now deceased.
I trust no men in her family even though I'm cool with them. I know generational curses exist and the curse of rape and molestation is prevalent in that family.
Your child is your most prized possession. It baffles me that some people will let just any ol body babysit their kid. Not me. I'll lose my job before I rush and try to get a stranger to watch my kid.
