Yep I don’t condone Will’s actions but he got the message across CLEAR at that moment.
What I don’t fw when it came to the special is he kept coming for Jada instead of the nikka who slapped you after she said she didn’t condone that shyt neither. Literally on Chris’ side.
He called a Will a straight up bytch the reason he went at Jada is because Will was literally LAUGHING at the joke before he turned and saw her reaction then he snapped into He-Man Wife Saver and hit Chris.
Chris thinks this all stems from him not joining in the 2016 Oscar boycott (Jada) and Will being mad that the world was emasculating him during an awards season where he should have been celebrated as he was sweeping at every ceremony.
I understand the frustration on Will’s part. Last year I was telling the homie @spliz that it was fukked up how Will was getting roasted NONSTOP even though he was winning. They roasted Will the night he became only the FIFTH black actor to win at the BAFTA awards. Laverne Cox roasted him on the red carpet of the SAG awards, where he became only the FIFTH black actor to win Leading actor at that event. Dude was making history and couldn’t escape his wife’s infidelity’s. The oscars was the last straw
On the other hand I can understand Chris Rock’s anger. His joke was pretty mild by Chris Rock standards and he made no reference to “entanglements“ or anything of that ilk, and he got bytch smacked on LIVE TELEVISION by a dude he couldn’t have beaten if they DID square up to shoot the fade. I would have been fukking livid to be put in that situation and gotta think about the optics of two black men fighting on LIVE TELEVISION while a dude having a breakdown because he can’t control his wife’s public shaming tactics screams at me from the crowd.
Both situations were a powder keg waiting to erupt
