Nintendo is coming out with the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year if you want to wait possibly around the summer. They're going to officially reveal more details April 2nd 2025. You'll be able to play classic Sega/Nintendo games on there as I believe it will be backwards compatible with Switch games.

Yyou can cop the Nintendo Switch that's out now and and then upgrade later on when the Switch 2 comes out if you don't want to wait.

I keep hearing the term steamdeck in here, and they come with made games already installed

what are yall thoughts on steamdecks, brake it down simple

the reason I want one is because I have insomnia sometimes and need something to occupy me

I'm not really interested in a Nintendo Switch though

You like this more than SD? :jbhmm:

Where you get this from? :jbhmm:

Ali Express tries to make me make an account to even look at it now :mjtf:

I like the ROG Ally better than Steam Deck, as it is a full Windows system, so it runs damn near any Windows program/app.
Plus the hardware/specs are better.

The steam deck is cool too, just a matter of preference.

Regarding the R36S I got mine off of Temu

I saw you mentioned Nintendo classics so I thought you wanted to play Nintendo games there. You can do that on a Steam deck, though you'll have to emulate the Nintendo games since Nintendo games are not playable on PC.

A steam deck can do all of that.

Temu was OK, it was the first and only thing I bought from there. Took a couple of weeks to come. It was a while back, so guess the shipping situation has improved(but not sure).

I figured it was only $50 so I took a chance.

I still have it, it still works fine, plays a lot of games(which it comes with pre-installed).

You can emulate games on a wide variety of things. But for me the nostalgia of a GameBoy style handheld, that can also play Dreamcast and PS 1 games was a win.
