It's risky because I don't think it's going to go up anytime.
They don't have the "USPS" advantage anymore. Streaming video/movies by other providers has leveled the playing field. Redbox and Blockbuster have cornered the DVD rental vending machine market so I don't think Netflix is going to go in the direction.

If you are buying this stock..I hope you are buying this short. Netflix has lower sub rates, higher churn, increased competition, and no new negotiations with studios. They only have old products. I cancelled my sub months ago. Stocks long term outlook is highly negative.

I think they could do the same thing they did last quarter. Bottom out. go back up to like 80, then shyt the bed again when the earnings come out again. I might be way off, but I may buy a couple shares then dump it.

Possibly. However, RedBox and similar companies are eating Netflix lunch on the daily. Netflix is expanding to EU and Asia so they still have large growth prospects. If they can sign new agreements with the major studios and find a way to get new releases much sooner, than yes, they can gain a lot of value. As the company's business model stands now, they aren't going anywhere and are a slowly sinking ship. Redbox and Hulu are very similar and better priced options. The studios have looked at getting into the streaming game themselves, and if so will eat a huge chunk of the market for NF. This industry is going to come down to who can get their hands on the most content as well as the newest content. Whomever wins that race wins its all.

I was just about to post this. With all of these companies following the netflix model, and with redbox re-emerging as a viable rental alternative, I think netflix has hit its peak as far as stocks go. This is the very epitome of rolling the dice breh, and with each new deal a company like microsoft makes to provide content for its consoles present and future, that affects it too. If you wanted to get netflix stock you should have got it before they split dvd and streaming.

And with this reputation the ceo has dont expect the stock price to rise too soon.

When I look to invest, these are the types of things I look into before I invest because stocks are just too tricky to blindly throw money at especially when a bad investment can wipe you out overnight.
