It was a great day for the Yankees.
The Yankees beat up on Verlander, a longtime nemesis.
Dominguez and Wells both got their first career major league hits.
And they won the game.
There haven’t been a lot of good days lately. But Yankees fans have a long history of overreacting to good news of any kind. At the risk of being labeled a Debbie Downer, I caution fans to strap themselves in because these rookies are going to struggle. Don’t start thinking the solution was just to promote young talent and that they’re suddenly a player away from being the Braves or Dodgers.

I'm really not sure how I would respond if I caught an important baseball though.
It can be a jerk move to demand a lot of money or perks for a milestone baseball, but you only have so many opportunities in life. The thing here is, Jasson Dominguez is a rookie and probably isn't super loaded. Still, I'd want more than a couple of signed baseballs.
If I caught something like A-Rod's or Jeter's 3,000th hit, I'm probably not giving that thing back. That's going to auction.
The rent is too damn high out here.

Could’ve just pocketed the ball in case he becomes a superstar and sell it later. If he doesn’t turn out then you can still easily get 2 signed baseballs
