I'm an extremely casual MMA fans, I really only know the big names and Cyborg was one. I heard of Nunes through the WWE broads and here. I was expecting to see some kind of 5 round (or at least 3 round) classic. That shyt was crazy. :wow: And that was better than I could have ever expected. :mjlol:Nunes only missed like 1 punch, every other punch was flush against Cyborg head. :picard:

Nunes hits like a Mack truck, Cyborg was foolish to stand toe to toe with her. Cyborg doesn’t have that type of pop in her punches, she does damage by her relentless output. Amanda is much crisper with her boxing and her power is unreal for a female fighter. Cyborg should’ve attacked her legs and tried dragging her into deep water.

Nunes hands are quick and crisp with power. I don't think a rematch will change much. Nunes is faster and more precise.
No hold on..I think alot of changes..you see, everyone is expecting Fury to outright beat Wilder in the rematch. It's not that simple. Wilder didnt fight like himself until the end..he usually works that jab and finds you..he doesnt bum rush you like he did in that fight..it was very odd. He wont do it again. It's kind of dangerous because Fury will rack up rounds but once he let's Fury get a pattern, he can put him down second half of the fight.

Cyborg wont be rushing in like Tua or Tyson next time..I guarantee it. She probably plays a distance game and sees if Nunes tires out. Maybe even try to take her down and change it up.

Toe to toe was her best bet but the way she did it was wrong. Chute Boxe is made for standup. It was the ground game I was more concerned with as Nunez trained with ATT so her wrestling was going to be a bit of a hurdle. Even for a BJJ master like Cyborg.

Nunez has hands for sure but NO ONE expected Cyborg to be that reckless and disrespectful. If she gets another chance, which looks unlikely, she will definitely come correct in her game plan.

Cyborg isn't a dumb fighter even though she got baited into rushing in on Nunes, winning for all those years by smashing chicks will do that to you I guess. That being said she is multi-talented and her attitude after the fight shows what kind of person and professional she is. A rematch is still a scary fight for Nunes. Her reaction to the win told it all. To stand in the crossfire and bang like that with cyborg is crazy. If I'm Nunes I do not want to fight her again, but the fact she even fought her in the first place. :patrice:

Cyborg went to the press conference like Ronda :mjlol:

Holms was far more damaging, because that's when the Rousey mystic vanished like a thief in the night. Not only did Holms negate the tactic of when Ronda gets close she will hip toss into armbar land. But with Rogan, the media and others were building up her hands so much, that they were totally dismissing a former boxing world champion, to prop up Ronda. Some variant of she has some of the greatest hands in MMA history or something :heh:.

Holm gave her a boxing masterclass that made her look silly, with all the feints and movement and then finished it off with a kick to the head
Ronda's biggest fan still was trying to prop up Ronda's hands after Nunes destruction on Saturday.

I didn't even realize she was only a year younger than Rousey too so that's even more disrespectful considering how she washed Rousey.

Watching the match it's easy to see how faulty Cyborg's gameplan was. She thought she could eat them punches like she always did but underestimated that Nunes is a god tier striker in Women's MMA.

Word. It's almost like when they came up with her fight plan they didn't take Amanda seriously enough or something. I'm not even a serious MMA fan like that and even I know that Amanda hits hella hard. That's one of the most consistent things people say about her, that you can't underestimate how hard she hits because she's got crazy power in her punches. Trying to stand in there with her and throw down is a bold af strategy given Amanda's hands.

The speed difference is gonna get Cyborg clipped again in the rematch unless she can bum rush and take Nunes down to avoid the combos. This KO was wild tho. Seeing Cyborg (who outside of Jon Jones was the last untouchable from the MMA boom the last decade) get slumped is something I thought Id never see. Would love a rematch to happen just to see how Cyborg would attempt to stay aggressive but not trade with someone smaller/quicker. I want to see her resolve after such a test. Too bad we won't get the chance to see. :francis:
