D.C. was definitely considered "Chocolate City" in the 80's and 90's.Oh my bad you said DMV, not DC. I never heard of anyone proclaiming "the dmv" as chocolate city but I'll let you cook
I’m going tomorrowTo be fair, migos is all concentrated in one place they not all over the city. You won’t see them outside of Colombia Heights/14th street/Mt. Pleasant like that.
I’m sayin, none of the go to spots was hit. Alexandria ain’t no move if you wanna see Black people.
Come by Howard and check out the sistas @Malcolmxxx_23 if you follow your nose you might be the second coli breh to find me irl
Was there on FridayOp must’ve never been down U street
I’m going tomorrow
Just got back from the mgm national harbour
Gambling and all star game lol
I know that, but if you read my complete post, You'll see it's much more to do with Malc calling the "DMV" chocolate city(dmv isn't a city for starters and its way to diverse especiallywith NorthernVA in the equation) ...which is in accurateD.C. was definitely considered "Chocolate City" in the 80's and 90's.
They are definitely there I worked with probably 30 percent Hispanics at my job and the further out the more their are but it’s definitely a black areaWhen I go visit my nieces and other family around DMV all I see majority of the time is black , some parts like Georgetown area I might see more whites
But I know for damn sure I don’t see that huge amount of Hispanics
since they whitewashed the PG plaza name (Mall at Prince Georges? Hyattsville Crossing? ) and put in a Whole foods, Hyattsville is bougie black than a mf now.Must be in Hyattsville
Did you go to Germantown thinking it was chocolate city?Been here since Wednesday
Only time i saw black folks at Alexandria or night out
Lmaooo naw ima put a tiny bit of respect on VA name they do got that one historically Black part of Route 1 but that shyt look like a project surrounded by ultra expensive white folk property.
VA is wayyy too suburban and spread out for Black folks to be concentrated in one place but they there. Plus NoVA ji the most diverse part of the area, at least it’s arguable.
With all that said, you better off somewhere else if you looking for the Black experience. Shiiit, after another decade or so you prolly gon have to go to Baltimore or PG/Charles County to find the Black experience.
And she asking for buildings to go up close to the same height as the monument.Breh, this shyt annoying as fukk. District of Construction be having 30 minute traffic just for a 10 minute drive down the street. Rats everywhere. Cacs everywhere. Rent up. Tickets up. Boots on cars. Fiends and homeless nikkaz in the street cuz the bougie condos they building ain’t for them.
Maaaan, fukk Muriel
