I think the Cleveland Cavaliers are deserving of a lowkey thread

But even the 1995 and 1999 Rockets / Knicks were very exp teams. The Knicks had injuries during the season and the Rockets had the best player in the league in Hakeem. The rockets also traded for Clyde drexler the year in the middle of the season.

But you are right brotha. It is between the Cavs, Bulls, Spurs, OKC and Clippers. To go to the finals. Those teams have the right mix of veterans, superstars and exp. folks just caught up in this illusion of NBA parity. That is just regular season parity.....the playoffs are a difference.

:obama:Very good point about the Drexler mid-season trade. I forgot about that.

:laff: Just stop posting breh. The Spurs ran through the Heat with 3 HOF players, have the same core, and suddenly the Cavs are the team to beat? :dead:

The cavs we're preseason favorites and suppose to beat the new and improved big three for lebron, with pieces that fit better than Wade and bosh. Don't laugh at me I wasn't the one who championed them before they played a game.

You might be right but for all the positive Impact he had, he would also have negative impact with piss poor rebounding, he averaged 5.5 rebounds in the playoffs last 2 season :scust: (there's a reason Lebron was the best rebounder on that team) and getting abused in the post by bigger players. Let's not act like Bosh had no faults in his game the same way Kevin Love does.

Exactly. The Heat had issues in the paint themselves and Bosh had his fair share of :hamster:ing. Only difference between the two is that Bosh's athleticism allowed him to contribute on defense, especially against pick n roll, instead of being a complete liability like Love. Biggest difference between the Heat and the Cavs is that the top 3 players in MIA were able to carry them on offense and defense while in Cleveland Bron is the only one capable of having a real impact defensively and his days of playing top defense night in and night out are over.

The regular season getting some of y'all excited, it's a different animal in the postseason. I remember knicks fans saying they'd sweep Miami during that 54 wins. But like I said we'll see soon enough.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...-an-nba-title-and-they-may-miss-the-playoffs/

LeBron James decided to take his talents back to Cleveland and make his own Big Three with the Cavaliers, but so far, it hasn’t been what everyone expected.

The Cavs are 19-20 and losers of six straight, putting their title hopes all but out of reach.

ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo Follow
The @cavs are 19-20. No team in NBA history has won the title after being below .500 through 39 games (via @EliasSports)

Vegas gave the Cavs the best odds, they adjusted them recently.

Well what can I say, call me Sam Rothstein

:dwillhuh:

No shyt the Cavs aren't favorites now.

@King Biko said they were preseason favorites and they were.

How does an article from 3 days ago change the fact that they were considered preseason favorites?

To support @Malta claim that Vegas gave them the best odds before the season:

Not surprisingly, the Cleveland Cavaliers — fresh off of signing LeBron James in free agency, and trading for Kevin Love from the Timberwolves — land at the top of the list to win the 2015 NBA title.

Bovada lists Cleveland at 5/2 as the favorites, followed by the Spurs at 4/1, the Bulls at 11/2, and the Thunder at 6/1.

Ok you're right, I'll fall back and take the L, they were preseason favorites. What I'm saying now is that they're not, but lowkey they have put themselves in a position to have a strong second half of the season
