I think Samsung's Android >>>>> Google's Android to be honest.

You can use gps in airplane mode, you don't need 'service' :leostare:

nikkas stanning samsung, be happy with your moderately upgraded s4's. 5 inch screens and plastic shells. Might even get a real camera upgrade this time :gladbron:

:snoop: Quit trying to give nikkas advice you fukkin retard. GPS is non reliant on network data, you can use GPS while the phone is in airplane mode. It's the reason why you can cache or download maps for offline use :smh:

edit: I fell for it :russ:

:comeon: breh i have the s3 and my call drops in my bed room but not in my living room. Gps takes more than a minute to lock if it does, i usually end up getting the tower location estimate. Compare that to a motorala device which rarely ever drops calls.

And no im not suggesting a moto phone, but im just speaking for myself in my last phones from samsung. S3, s2, and the epic4g. Consistently hot running gps locking up and call reception being less.

I remember my friend still had the evo 4g and i had the epic touch, we did a side by side in the same room and his data was more than twice of mines and with more bars. Samsung radios suck breh

*edit, im not hating the software, but the hardware has been consistently subpar quality. Processors been nice too, but the build quality and radios are very important as well

On my Note 2, the GPS lock is damn near instantaneous, and it hasn't dropped a call on me yet. I think Samsung used top of the line components in the Note 2, because it performs flawlessly so far. I'm almost not as embarrased to use it as a phone anymore..:russ:

Give it another month running on that same rom, bet it locks you out. Been my experience with samsung in general, works great for the first couple weeks then all of sudden it don't wanna lock anymore. Only way to fix is reinstalling the rom/hardreset

i've been rocking with the note 2 for 3 months and hadn't had any issues with GPS or call dropping.

we are discussing turn by turn navigation dumb ass. GPS AND Location are different on android. Go to location they are 3 settings to click. Google now work with the bottom one. You cant do turn by turn withouit having the middle one check...and no service = no gps lock

The HTC software is fine and the One X had plenty of good to great reviews.
