It put decades for the Japanese to put Floppy Discs to bed.

They have their vision and their way of doing things. That's not going to change.

I been playing all the games I care for on PC all this gen :manny: They can do what they want.Only thing I know for sure they aren’t doing is putting out a respectably spec’d console to entice nikkas not to emulate in the first place

Nintendo needs to get with the times and actually put out a powerful current-gen console. They're always a couple of generations behind and putting out rinky-dink games

Metroid Dread could use a PC port , thought it would have sold more than 3 million on the switch.

It’s out of print and delisted physically now.

They're the least likely to do it.

Sony and Microsoft sell their consoles at a loss. Nintendo is the only one actually not only breaking even but making a LOT of money on units sold. They sell all kinds of peripherals too so they're making money off that as well.

They're making enough money sticking to their existing business model so they have no reason to make purchasing their hardware irrelevant.

And start releasing games on PC. At this point they might as well if they want to combat emulation. All that money and resources they are spending on trying to prevent it from happening they might as well make some money with PC releases. I can see them doing it like Sony not releasing day and date but several months after console.

Even though they take there sweet ass time catching up eventually they do follow what Microsoft and Sony do just the bare minimum at it. I do also expect there ports to be trash at first.
Nintendo isn't doing anything but making subpar hardware. I wouldn't be surprised if the switch 2 follows the same path as the og switch.

Nintendo IPs are so powerful that they can sell books, TV shows, films, clothes, hats, lunch boxes, alarm clocks (lol) and so much more before they need to port

They also dominated this generation. They are not hurting at all, and don't need to sell ports and completely devalue their properties to keep the lights on

They've branded themselves in a way that they can stay out of the graphical arms race that everyone else is beholden to, and can just count their money

Games are really just advertising the customers pays for and gives more free advertising to.

fukking genius. :wow::ohlawd:
