And start releasing games on PC. At this point they might as well if they want to combat emulation. All that money and resources they are spending on trying to prevent it from happening they might as well make some money with PC releases. I can see them doing it like Sony not releasing day and date but several months after console.

Even though they take there sweet ass time catching up eventually they do follow what Microsoft and Sony do just the bare minimum at it. I do also expect there ports to be trash at first.

Nintendo is about gaming experiences and they build consoles around those experiences. They don’t want their games played anywhere else but Nintendo consoles.
True, but to be fair I never would've expected pokemon go to be a thing :manny:

They even have had a mario game for the pc back in the day

Knowing Nintendo, if they drop on PC it'll be older titles first since they can essentially do that being seen as a legacy platform. Them dropping 64 titles on Steam would do numbers. Imagine Smash Bros 64 on Steam with online play?

The thing is Nintendo doesn't have to make sound business decisions for a least one generation. So whatever they do next is anyone's guess because it's not based in reason. They can put out a USB alarm clock today and a whisper activated cooling fan next year and still have enough money to get back focused before 2026.

Like I said if anything you'll be able to do something similar to what you can do with Xbox and log into your Nintendo account and potentially play the games offered there via browser/app

Or they just open up cross play or progression with PC.

Nintendo will close it's doors for good before that happens

Some Nintendo third-party "exclusives" like Daemon x Machina and Bakeru found their way to PC

But you will never ever ever see any of their core IPs anywhere but a mobile cash-grab

Nintendo IPs are so powerful that they can sell books, TV shows, films, clothes, hats, lunch boxes, alarm clocks (lol) and so much more before they need to port

They also dominated this generation. They are not hurting at all, and don't need to sell ports and completely devalue their properties to keep the lights on

They've branded themselves in a way that they can stay out of the graphical arms race that everyone else is beholden to, and can just count their money

While that makes sense on paper, Nintendo moves to the beat of their own drum and are already incredibly profitable so they have no reason to switch up. They’ll eat the legal fees and just look at it as the cost of protecting their extremely valuable IP

They only go the PC route if they have 2-3 WiiU flops in a row and the company is in dire straights financially

Considering how massive the mobile market is in Japan it makes sense for them to test the waters for that. Pokémon Go & Fire Emblem Heroes have done well from what I understand.
