I get that part, but I don't understand how you can see things escalating and bleeding over from country to country, without first understanding the landscape first

3 weeks ago you would not have been able to foresee the events in Algeria. So how can you then go and hypothesize these events throughout the entire continent? I think you're smart for getting ahead of other Americans. But I think you're jumping the gun by trying to understand Africa as a whole.

I saw it in person 5 years when I spent time in Djibouti training their army and I was in when the military started shifting to priority in the Horn of Africa and announcing AFRICOM.

If it sounds like I am neglecting the conflicts that have happened in Africa throughout these years, I can assure you I am not trying to. I'm specifically talking about a massive warfare. Maybe segregated wars, but major wars nonetheless, outside of the conflicts/wars we have seen.

Like I said, the Chinese have been dying of thirst to get troops en masse over there for years already. The Americans already have a presence and that will grow.

France never left Africa so their intervention in the north cant be that much of a surprise.

Also every UN peace keeper that has set foot in Africa has done so for economic interests

Why are they protesting instead of you know, fighting fire with fire

1) government and local officials are in partnerships with the Chinese

2) the Chinese had arms

3) the youth had machetes and cut lass

4) the mining areas don't necessarily belong to the people of that area. But it is causing damage to their health.. ie. toxins, drinking water, etc.

African countries should have diplomatic relations with Israel just like the rest of the world does. The West only rape those who allow themselves to get raped. China's influence in Africa has been positive. War is and should always be a last resort. Peace and stability is the key to progress and development. Look at many of the Islamic world countries...poor, disease ridden, illiterate because of their thirst for war. What has war done for Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Somalia, Yemen, Mali, Pakistan?

I used to believe this after Iraq.

However, I honestly do not think there will be conflict in Africa, because I don't think African nations will put up much of a fight.

They(African nations) won't be a problem, because they won't put up any resistance.

Their interests aren't in securing their resources, so I don't think they will be a problem. African nations will sell their resources to the highest bidder. Maybe there will be conflict between other nations over Africa.

I'm still trying to figure out why they up and murdered Ghaddafi.

Like someone said in another thread, it'll be whenever the African resources are owned and profited by Africans. It's only going to get worse, unless blacks here or in Africa(preferably both) ban together to prevent outside companies/countries from mining their resources and paying some of those workers terrible wages.
