Most Baruch kids come in with low SAT's though
If you have an Ivy level profile entering Baruch you should be able to maintain close to a 4.0 pretty easily and build a decent resume
If the Wharton undergrad dude I know had to go to his safety school he might've ended up getting a better job
But of course if you're entering Baruch with median stats then that's a long shot
Psh, the go to strategy if you've got an Ivy profile is to go to an Ivy, major in something easy so you can get a 3.7+ GPA and make it through resume filters, and do extracurriculars. You'll be putting in just as much effort, if not less, than doing some kinda busywork major like business at Baruch, plus you'll have a better degree.
Wharton is unique compared to other Ivy programs because it's more cutthroat and vocational. Your friend might have lost for choosing Wharton, but if he had gone to another school, he still should have stayed within the Ivies.
Also, what's this alleged "non-prestigious" trading job he has? Is it some random ass prop shop gig or are you just downplaying it to call an L on your friend?
