Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Quentin miller and drake ain't beefin, wayne and Gillie were at the time and when he was confronted on the issue he was all, "ahh no, I didn't write for him I just coached him up on his flow". He Def had no reason to lie when he was tryin to take wayne out.

If he outed him he might not be trusted by any other artist as a ghostwriter. that might be one reason.

Thing is, he said he wrote tha carter and then backtracked at the height of their beef, you can't put the cat back in the bag. The facts came out and Gillie was lookin funny in the light so he backtracked and said nah I didn't really write but more so coached him up, he took my style. And if he wrote for wayne he didn't write anything good, Waynes documentary showed him make some of his best songs off no ceilings. They do have a similar flow but that's it. Hence the coaching quote being believable. Sqad up said wayne wrote all his shyt too and they were beefin at the time too from what I remember.

Not tryna have a back n forth but I'mma just leave this here about the Gillie - wayne situation.

Gillie Da Kid
Behind the Music

Were you straight writing verses for Wayne or was it more of a coaching thing?

Gillie: No, Wayne had good breath control so it was more of a study thing

Same interview says he wrote for birdman and is gonna put out diss track towards wayne

Sqad up:

WordofSouth.com: I know that you have heard about the situation with Gillie going around saying that he ghostwrote for Lil Wayne. When y’all were with Wayne, did you ever see anything like that going on?

Yung Yo: What as far as ghostwriting?

WordofSouth.com: Yeah.

Yung Yo: Oh, naw, I'd done seen Fresh give him some hooks like, "The Way of Life" hook and "Go DJ," I done seen all that happen, but as far as writing, naw he lyrically gifted. I ain't never seen it, I never seen that happen.

WordofSouth.com: Then there was more saying he taught him how to spit…

Yung Yo: Man that n*gga, been doing it. Like every n*gga that's around now, I brought to him. Like besides the Cash Money artist. But man, that n*gga's gifted with this sh*t, but you gotta learn from somebody, but nobody just sat there and taught him how to rap.

As far as I'm concerned Drake on his own here :francis:
