So I started a drain cleaning company
I got 1 truck and tools
I got a small clientele
I know about advertising on Craigslist
I'm looking for about 8 jobs a day

Here's what I need help with
I don't know anything about making a website but I'd like to make 1
I would also like it to be easily found on google
I have no idea how taxes and all that shyt works

Can any of ya point me in the right direction?

Keep the mileage of all business trips.
Advertise in web classifieds, classifieds, etc
8 job is doable. just gotta market, advertise, promote.
register business with state/dba
Collect necessary taxes and turn it over.
Get a website for the business.

damn man you're going into this with no knowledge on how to run a business :what:

all the information people are telling you is good but you need to go to a local community college and take some classes. once your business picks up, things move fast and if you're relying on the coli to help you out you'll be in trouble.

@Momentum how is the job market for the marketing/consulting industry? im gonna be graduating with a business-marketing degree soon

My degree is in management. You basically get out of it what you put in. I made way too much money in Jan/Feb so I basically do nothing now

I just closed a client yesterday I didn't even want. He basically called me out the blue and forced me to take him on :beli: I go to every tech meetup I can in my area and speak a lot so people know me and refer me.

Once you hit that sweet spot when your name and face is out there you dont even have to work. Work finds you :jawalrus:

On a day to day, I usually work on SEO stuff and close ad deals on my blog. I actually hate client work :beli:

no but a few night classes in basic accounting and management can't hurt :ld:

dude has no business plan and expects to run a profitable functioning business in an already slow economy. no offense op, i hope it works out for u, but you should know what you're getting yourself into. if this isn't :duck:

Thanks
None of that duck tales shyt here
I have no business plan and the economy might be slow
But as long as people have houses with drains I should be good
It's a service that u need
Yeah I might be jumping out the window
But sometimes u gotta do that

And I do plan on taking classes
But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do it now
I do wish I was prepared better tho

youre starting from the ground up.....facebook is free
and your traffic is right in front of you.
better than trying to promote a site.
it's your money breh.....(just saying)that line of hustle is 80%
word of mouth at it's begining stage.

I wasn't really trying to promote a site
I don't expect most people to find me from the website
I just wanted something that customers or potential clients could look at
I wouldn't trust a company without its own website
And Facebook seems amateurish

Facebook is perfect for a startup. Especially if you know a lot of people who's willing to spread/share your page.

A website is an extra expense. You want to keep expenses low when first starting a business. Grind now/web later.

I'm a broadcast marketing professional whos seen many local businesses go under because of foolish expenses. Mascot outfits, wrapped company vehicles, advertisements at local sports venues...you name it.

Trust us. Start small. Baby steps.

definitely get a website, thats how you build creditiblity with clientele via showing a web presence.

you could get an inexpensive domain name at $1 Cheap Domain Name Registration - Includes Free Website Design & Web Hosting., then use
sites.google.com to host a basic webpage/site for free. Or you could use the host with the same company you did the domain registration. Also, make sure the host will meet need of site.

facebook is ok for a like campaign, which should come after a website.
