I rewatched Boomerang and checked Rotten Tomatoes to find that that audiences and critics trashed this movie. How is this possible?

Probably a bunch of peckerwoods took issue with a movie about a bunch of Black people with fly jobs​

There you go.
White folk, don't want to see black folk prosperous on or off screen.
They tout it as "Not believable" or "Fantasy", especially if it isn't directly influenced by white influence or industry.
Cacs today would tell you straight face bullshyt about the Cosby show not being realistic due to the fact that the family was black and affluent and then happily point you to Post-Amos Goodtimes when they made JJ a full on soundbite c00n and tell you that's more appropriate for THEIR viewing consumption and black edification.​
