I love how wrestlers are following The Rock’s blueprint of getting into acting

they tried (Hogan, Undertaker, Piper, Jesse Ventura, Austin, Kane to name a few)
but Rock showed the new blueprint. Do comedies. Dont take yourself too seriously. Take the shyt seriously. Cena tried with the Marina and 12 rounds failed. Then did the reboot going the kids/self depricating route. Now he is arguably the 3rd biggest success behind the Rock & Batista. Back in the day wrestlers were trying to me the next Arnold or Stallone. But now you have a better chance breaking in being a comic relief or going against type. It doesnt hurt that comic movies have taken off which is perfect for wrestlers. Rock has FF franchise (which is basically a superhero flick) & Black Adam. Batista has Guardians. Cena has Suicide Squad and HBO show in development

cena is different because unlike Rock & Batista, there is not one Cena movie/vehicle that I have liked yet lol

Batista has shown surprising acting ability to me...prolly more than the Rock to be honest

reminds me of the story i read about batista telling triple h and stephanie about his role as drax in guardians of the galaxy and how he wanted to promote it around a comeback during summerslam or something and they kinda laughed about it...more carny clueless failure about any hollywood shyt from triple h and steph :dead:

He literally told them how big the movie can be and how it’s for Marvel and they literally laughed at him and said “Yeah good luck with that :pachaha:

Fast forward billions of dollars later..

They had an opportunity to have Batista at WM weeks before “Infinity War” came out. He originally was going to be Ronda’s tag partner against Hunter and Steph. He said they stopped returning his phone calls then turned on Raw and saw they went with Kurt instead. Made sense but still..

It only makes sense that the next step for wrestlers is acting if you have the charisma. You’re on LIVE TV every week, so you already can remember lines, know cues, and camera placement.

You instantly get slipped into action roles off the strength of your physique, name, ability, and charisma (once again, if you got it).

All it takes is a couple of guest TV appearances to get the ball rolling, look at the Rock

Except for anyone wanting to do movies or tv shows now has to have WWE book them and take a cut of their earnings.

The Rock got a great natural talent that translates really well into the movie industry. He is one of the exceptions because too many wrestlers suck in the movie industry. Triple H was horrendous in Blade 3, Steve Austin was very subpar in the movies he did. Hogan was starring in horrible movies.
Now that WWE has become the parody of themselves, I could see more wrestlers trying out for comedy films. Go get that bread. Just don't go anywhere near more serious films, it doesn't work for the wrestlers in a serious environment where the audience feels like you're about to cut a promo in the middle of a serious scene :mjlol:

We should do some watch party's for some of the random movies that wrestlers are in,not really the blockbusters but the low budget ones, like Dustin Rhodes has a new movie

The other day I bought a Johnny Mundo movie at the dollar tree,it also has Rampage Jackson, you know it's fukkery

Look at the trailer :mjlol:

Now that WWE's on Peacock WWE Films should collab on some projects and give some roles to the wrestlers
