Funny seeing this thread cause I made the old comment about how I miss listening to old Kanye when he seemed so pure. Just came off like a regular ass dude. Corny punchlines at times but that was part of the appeal. Then we eventually find out he'll do anything to move up in the world, damn near all his lyrics ghostwritten, and straight up for sell it just took the shine off of everything. I listen to the first couple of albums and it's still great music but don't hit the same.

I used to be this way. Kanye was never all that to me, I actually thought son was a bit overrated to a degree . After the first few albums I rocked with a handful of tracks here and there.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy / Watch the Throne is the cutoff point for me. When he became a gospel rapper I flat out ignored his albums. Not gonna lie I tried that Vultures 2 album and dropped it. As an artist he just grew in a different direction. If he went back to College Dropout/ Late Registration/ Graduation style I could listen again but he seems more like 808 & Heartbreaks now. Not interested.
