Gail and Dewey should have died midway through the movie and Syd's cousin should have killed Sydhey and got away with it only to find out later that Hayden Panettiere's character also lived.
Then the sequel after 4 could have been Syd's cousin plotting new murders with her main goal being to kill her best friend who screwed up her plan to be the lone survivor of the previous massacre while Hayden tried to figure out who the killer was this time.

Sidebar, was I the only who liked Urban Legend

I watched that joint for the 1st time ever 2 years ago. Loved It! Definitely a movie I should've seen growing up.

The book is by Lois Duncan, who wrote a bunch of really dark YA fiction in the 80's, which I read in elemntary/ middle school, (late 90's) one of my favorite authors as a child. She did 'Killing Mr Griffin', which was adapted as a Katy Holmes vehicle in the late 90's, 'Teaching Mrs. Tingle'. As far as 'I Know...' the book is much better then the movie, with a much more convincing set of characters and plot resolution. The movie is cheap, sloppy and besides it's great looking cast, and semi iconic villain is neither scary, nor tense. All her books were dope, witchcraft, murder, eternal youth witness protection, they not kids books.
