The idiotic takes on Ruggs in here:mjlol:he has a lot more potential than Jeudy does. I love Jeudy but he's Amari 2.0 he's going to have to be in the right system with an accurate QB. Ruggs is going to make plays wherever he goes.

Jeudy is more of a sure thing. Ruggs needs to play in a vertical offense bc he's not a great route runner, he's not physical, and he's not an advanced receiver at this stage. Jeudy was an nfl level receiver at age 19. And Jeudy's #s only regressed bc Waddle, Ruggs & Smith all ascended last season. The scary thing is Jeudy could be a bigger version of AB, and with his route running, hands, and precision, in the right system he can be downright scary. I'd take young Jeudy over young Amari any day B.

Jeudy is Amari 2.0, he'll be a better version of Amari if he doesn't have the same mental toughness issues that Amari seems to have. Jeudy didn't really have a lot of amazingly athletic plays like a Julio or Ruggs but his route running is on another level. Ruggs and most of the WR in the draft don't look like great route runners next to Jeudy but he's still a good one. It's not like he's DK Metkalf out here. I'm not trying to knock Jeudy, I think they'll both be great but I like Ruggs a little more.

And Jeudy didn't do shyt his freshman year at Bama actually while Ruggs first 6 catches all went for touchdowns..

I dont think it's a foregone conclusion that the eagles draft a receiver in the first round... I think u can draft a decent one in the second or third.

If they have a center or linebacker or corner or defensive end that is a sure first rounder vs. the receivers left on the board. I would rather them take the better player rather than reach for a receiver in the first round.

I dont think the receiver situation is as bad as most people think. We need a speedster on the outside that is for sure. Cant depend on D Jax at this point.
This is how I feel.

I would much rather get a linebacker and take a chance on someone like Hamler, claypool or whoever after the 1st

Great route runners have better careers. And when he gets in an NFL weight training program, he might realistically bulk up, keep his speed, and with the route running, takes him to another level.

Ruggs is a good route runner. Just like you said Jeudys #s weren't great b/c of the talent we had at WR, the same can be said for Ruggs. We could have been a lot more creative with him as well if we didn't have all these other weapons. I think they'll both be great, I just wanted to come in here and curtail some of the Ruggs slander. I don't think Eagles should trade up for him though just because of how deep this WR draft is

Nobody is slandering Ruggs. His stock went up after the combine. Jerry Jeudy has the cleanest route running and was the #1 WR, while Ruggs is fast and athletic but was the #3 WR.

Ppl calling him too short or just a speed guy is slander. He definitely has the potential to be a #1 guy

I don’t think he’s #1 off rip, but I think he has a high ceiling. He’s a pure athlete
He'll have to garner safety help or the #1 corner from the other team every play right away. He might not put up huge #s right away if he's forced in to that kind of role but he'll have the impact

Nah...Ruggs will be a solid WR, I dont know about HOF level but i think he is more than a gadget player- I would never trade our 2nd or 3rd or next years r1 to get him, fans are retarded to give up the draft for him tho
i see him ending up being a DeAnthony Thomas player. i keep hearing people compate Ruggs to Tyreke Hill & that is nonsense.

but i mean we will see but i just dont see it with Ruggs. Ruggs to me was the 4th best player on the WR core i would put Waddle ahead of him.

your entitled to your opinion but I think thats crazy...I think Ruggs is a lesser Desean....I dont think he tracks the ball as well as Desean but I think he has the ability to be a high WR2 or a Low end WR1. He isnt Tyreek bc he doesnt run as hard as Hill does...Hill runs like a really fast RB in open space...Ruggs doesnt run like that but he can get in and out of his breaks fast and he will improve his route running- he will have a waaaaay better career than DeAnthony

poor mans Djax yea i can see that but that will be his ceiling at best. i mean i dont see the point of draft him that high if at best youre getting a #2 WR. i honestly wouldnt want him at 21. i think he will have trouble with playing outside & physical press corners.

just dont see it with Ruggs like everybody else. i think Reagor ends up having a better career then Ruggs. Reagor minds me more of Hill.
