Y’all really wanted to extend and pay 33 Malcolm Jenkins? Couldn’t be me:huhldup:

Just remember when the Eagles let B Dawk go at age 35. First season in Denver was solid and then he started to fall off.

But we were searching for a replacement and stabilizing force at safety for years before Jenk came and stabilized things even under Chip's bullshyt ass offensive scheme that exhausted his defense.

Remember these names after Dawkins but before Jenk arrived

I leave Quintin Mikell off (dude was the only solid one but he left two season after Dawkins).

But

Sean Jones

Kurt Coleman

Nate Allen

Jaiqwon Jarrett

Earl Wolff

:scust:

I think Malcolm had two more solid seasons left in the tank. Just remember guys like that aren't easy to find via draft or free agency.

We could be searching for years for that player. Hopefully Mills is that guy so we dont have that struggle safeties problem.

We eventually gotta move on. What better time to move on when they want more money and they’re already old? If he fall off next year, we still ain’t got a replacement and we paying him good money, taking up cap space. That’s a bad situation for the team.

Howie and Doug already told y’all as soon as the season ended that he held on to some players too long and that he was gonna get younger.

Y’all should believe people when they speak sometimes

We're are we leaning in this Coli Mock Draft? What that big board look like?

The names we hear most frequently:

Ruggs (WR) - I'd prefer not to draft him, even with the blazing speed
Higgins (WR) - May become a formidable receiver but not a gamebreaker imo
Jefferson (WR) - Wasn't even the best receiver on his team
McKinney (S) - I don't trust Alabama players outside of top 10 talent

The guys who I want us to draft:

Henderson (CB) - We have to strongly consider him if he's available at 21 or if he falls past 15 for that matter
Shenault (WR) - I think we could trade back and still get him. Mel Tucker said he's everything you want in a WR
Fulton (CB) - Could be able to start on day 1. If he works out, would be good pairing with Slay, where he follows #2 receivers.

Henderson is my top choice.

I remember thinking Kurt Coleman was the answer after he had that multiple pick game against the redskins

If it was a 1 year/ 2 year extension and a bump of pay ($2-3 mil extra per year) he would have taken it. Read between the lines of his article and what's been reported and the dead he took with the saints.

Team refused to do anything outside of adding incentives to his current deal.

Round 1. Ruggs (WR) / Mims (WR)
Round 2: Jeremy Chinn (S) / Ashtyn Davis (S)
Round 3: Darrrel Taylor (DE) / Reggie Robinson (CB)
Round 4: Robert Hunt (OG) / Logan Wilson (LB) / Tony Pride (CB)
Round 5: Antonio Gibson (RB/WR)
Round 6 John Hightower (WR) / L'JARIUS SNEED (S) / Chris Williamson (CB)

Hightower maybe gone by the 6th and Gibson will probably be gone in the 3rd- but hey

Seems obvious they didnt want to add anymore years to his deal- the money he took in NO is barely more than he got here but he got the extra 2 years- as much as it sucks to loose Jenk- I am fine with what the Eagles did- he is a liability in coverage- he is a helluva leader but they need to get better production from the safety position on top of getting younger
