If DeAndre Hopkins is seriously available... Howie has no choice. I swear to God, if he doesn't pull the trigger on that one, he gotta give up the sticks to someone else.

Hopkins is a guy you spend high draft picks on. He is an impact receiver regardless of who is throwing him the ball or what the rest of the offense looks like. And does all that while be a team first guy on a manageable contract.

I can't think of a single first round pick I'd rather have over him, or a single pairing of a first and second round pick I'd rather have.
What are you thinking we give for Hopkins?

I think 1st and 2nd is where it starts. Given his production, age and reasonable contract. But also because of those things, a bidding war may drive up the price tag to two 1st and some change, which... damn.

Hard pass. I ain’t giving up the future for an elite WR. We still gotta get younger as a team, we can’t do that if we give up our picks and yeah we have a lot of late draft picks but those are hit and miss.

This is the dilemma we have been in though. Even if we picked 10 positions higher, the draft is already a dice roll AND who we have directing our drafts is becoming more and more questionable.

Hopkins is young enough and good enough to be worth it. But there is a threshold even for him. I don't know what that is but if some other team scoops him for a 1st and a 2nd or less, I'd be pissed.

The Rams threw a 1st and 6th to get Cooks. A 3rd and something to get Fowler. Spent heavy in FA. And did whatever else to get Peters, Talib, Watkins among others. All within 3 years.

That is some kind of embellishment. You got it though. :hubie:

No word on Vaitai? Good, because I'd like to keep him. He showed up late last year when we needed him to.

I’m probably one of the few, but I wanna keep Jalen Mills.

If we get Jones, wouldn't mind bringing him back either

Last thing I heard was that he was gonna have a good market and will get paid elsewhere this off-season

I think Howie should offer the 1st and a 3rd to at least make that the floor offer for Hopkins. If some team beats it that's a team that's not gonna take a WR so someone falls.

And you cool with picking in the 3rd round this year for Hopkins? You nikkas tripping. You don’t need an elite WR in this day and age.

I can definitely see someone beating that.. which I expect and wouldn't be mad at. But Howie has to make that offer in my eyes.

I don't want to hype myself up too much over the possibility, but damn that would be plush. There are so many pros and very few cons with trading for him.
