Man Joe Douglas picks starting to look worse and worse as time goes

conversely- I think his draft with the Jets this year looks pretty good- too early to tell but I like alot of his picks

Its hard to tell but I am not sure Dillard is a JD pick per say- remember JD only sets the draft board...but Dillard fell in the draft- I think collectively they saw a consensus to 10 pick fall to them- they admitted they didnt really scout him heavy because they never thought they had a chance to draft him- I dont think they even interviewed him leading to the draft (maybe they would have picked up that he is soft as a teddy bear)

I read Peters is going back to tackle and Pryor will start at guard
Which is what I thought they should have done from the beginning. JP as backup LT in case Dillard either gets hurt or doesn’t perform well, you have a Hall of Famer who - even in the twilight of his career - is one of the better LTs in the NFL. I never understood the logic of trying to make him a RG. He’s never played that position or even that side of the line. Dillard was an utter disaster at RT and even explained all the difficulties of switching sides like that. Imagine those problems, plus learning a new position on top of it during a truncated offseason.

Even if you’re not sold on Pryor, he at least has some starting experience as RG and knows the position. Either roll with him as starter, see what you have in Herbig, or sign someone off FA. But what do you possibly think JP was going to give you there?

I honestly thought it was weird they decided to put JP on the right side when they could of out Semu on that side since he started majority of his college games on the right.

I don't know putting JP on the left side would fukk with Dillard or some shyt :yeshrug:

As of right now, if JJAW has avant type role of getting the first down, I'll be more than happy to have I'm in that rotation role and let famous cryp and Raegor put in the major work

On run plays- if they are pulling a guard- they do it from the LG position and the pulling guard is going to be the more fleet of foot - plus Isaac is pretty entrenched at LG- Stoute hates change at 2 positions on the offensive line- one of the reasons they never really considered moving Lane to LT

Part of the problem is JP pride wouldnt allow him to be a backup-he was cool with playing RG because he was going to start- would have been interesting if Brooks never got injured would he have just sat out until someone got hurt.
