I doubt he has 5 to 8 years in him. After 2 achilles injuries, even when he returns...RG is on the clock now. Whether its Pryor or Opeta or a 2021 draft pick...we cant rely on BB as a stable force at RG

Sucks.....he is so damn good and athletic for a man his size
We just extended him:francis:

Yea- that does make drafting a guy tricky- the earliest the eagles can cut him with little dead cap is 2023
I guess its either 1 year rentals or Pryor or Driscoll or Opeta

:yeshrug: I hope Pryor stays healthy. I like Opeta upside- he just has to get a little bigger, maybe get up to 315 / 320

I wouldn't start the clock on his demise yet, achilles injuries aren't the death sentence they once were for athletes. JP ruptured his twice in 3 months at the age of 30 back in 2012 and he put together 5+ years of high level play afterwards. Brooks himself already recovered from one tear faster than any projection and was at the top of his game immediately.

I'm still banking on him being our RG for the life of his contract.

The JP thing is so rare- I cant assume BB can make that same recovery and play at an elite level but maybe your right. But for now, Stout has to develop a starting caliber backup RG asap if they dont plan in picking through the free agent left overs

Would still bring in Larry Watford (if the money is right) and have him and Pryor battle it out

You know the team loves Semu so his spot is likely not getting challenged , I'm Samoan and even I know he can be :stopitslime: at times

I would be surprised if they go with Worford, he is a beast in run blocking but he is ass cheeks in pass pro

Who will be our breakout player on def?
A lot of people jumping on that TJ Edwards train, it's giving me Jamar Chaney vibes :hhh: Not that he can't become a good player, but I'm not sure how high the ceiling is for a 2 down thumper LB.

Barnett & Hargraves are both good bets, they're gonna see a lot of 1 on 1s and it doesn't feel like either has peaked as a player

If it doesn't happen for Sidney this year then it's never gonna happen. Contract year, and he has a true CB1 taking him under his wing and taking on those responsibilities on the field.

There's a lot to like about the Mills transition to safety. He's done well covering TEs the few times he got that chance and he's always been a willing tackler against the run. His major issue was long speed on the outside and that's no longer a factor. Wouldn't shock me if he earned a good contract next offseason.

.

dayum bruh..Jamar :russ:

to be fair- TJ was a way more accomplished college player than Jamar Chaney- Jamar was actually a pretty good athlete while TJ ...ehhhh...not so much. The reason I would disagree with this comparison is...Jamar was an athlete playing linebacker...TJ is a true LB- he has instincts to spare- knows his run fits and can shed blockers...the question is- can he cover TE and RB on obvious passing downs. I think his ceiling is Joe Schobert- the LB who played for Cleveland and signed in Jacksonville...that is the BEST case scenario

Can't realistically afford Jamal but it's always good to see elite talent put you on their short list
Why not? If the eagles don’t part with a first and some other bs for him they’re idiots

Unclude Alshon in the deal if it’s a matter of salaries
