Here's something to keep in mind: nobody really knows how injured he is. Dirt sheets and sites made it sound like Kurt Angle was on death's door when he left the WWE and would die in the ring if he had one more match, but he went on to wrestle for 8 or 9 more years. The only people that really know are Bryan and his doctors. Everything else is just gossip. I'm not saying the guy is 100%. He obviously isn't if the WWE felt they had a case to force him into retirement and he was having seizures apparently, but I think a lot of it is blown out of proportion.
Right, and Shawn Michaels. Also remember how such "poor shape" the undertaker was supposedly in when this pic dropped

Shibata is back in worried for him too
Shibata isn't back wrestling

Any contact sport where u fall on your back 1000 times a year will have brain damage but when you are going how Bryan has been going it's a different case

I highly doubt roman reigns or any bigger guys are walking around with the type of damage smaller guys get because of their move set and their actual physical make up

You wont find an argument from me there.

You seems to legit care about his health (or just very dedicated trolling), I've said a long time ago that after Misawa's dead I decided that I couldn't care that much anymore. If I did, I couldn't watch 3/4 of the wrestling I love. I don't want anything bad to happen to anybody - I was legit :sadcam: about Shibata and I hope I doesn't comeback - but I'll still watch my faves do their thing :manny:

Ironically, the WWE with it's softer style might be the safest place for him.

It's an option they should at least explore. Keep him on a limited schedule and working as few gimmick matches as possible.

But damn, I hoped having a kid would put more shyt into perspective for him. But if Brie Mode is giving him the green light, ain't much anyone can do except hope he stays safe.

If they let him work a limited schedule. He could probably wrestle once a month for some on the indies and make bank though.

Bruh all this trolling talk people say is fun and all but I'm a Bryan fan at the end of the day
I saw him in Roh beat Tyler black and was a fan of ring of honor through torrents/streams/etc since high school

I've rooted for him but I knew long term his reckless style he was doing in the wwe and his small frame he was doing whatever he had to do to get over with fans. And he did but then he never scaled back. Multiple drop kicks landing on his head, diving head butts, suicide dives repeatedly match after match. Then he finally wins the title and in happy for him but he instantly gets hurt

Then he finally comes back and is hurt again. He's one of the most skilled guys but he is so hard headed. I felt the same about foley and taker and various legends who undergo this much damage

Which is why I defend cm punk to this day when he said the main reason he left the wwe was his health. It's why I think an off season could help.

I'd be lying to say I wouldn't pay to see Bryan wrestle but damn after he said all he said about his condition in his book (which I bought also) I just am stuck hoping he only does maybe a match or two but doesn't try and be a full time wrestler again

That and the combination of the schedule is deadly. Dudes aren't wrestling 15 times in 30 days on the indies,

From Mayo Clinic website

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used to treat several medical conditions. And medical institutions use it in different ways. Your doctor may suggest hyperbaric oxygen therapy if you have one of the following conditions:

  • Anemia, severe
  • Brain abscess
  • Bubbles of air in your blood vessels (arterial gas embolism)
  • Burn
  • Decompression sickness
  • Carbon monoxide poisoning
  • Crushing injury
  • Deafness, sudden
  • Gangrene
  • Infection of skin or bone that causes tissue death
  • Nonhealing wounds, such as a diabetic foot ulcer
  • Radiation injury
  • Skin graft or skin flap at risk of tissue death
  • Vision loss, sudden and painless
The evidence is insufficient to support claims that hyperbaric oxygen therapy can effectively treat the following conditions:

  • AIDS/HIV
  • Allergies
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Autism
  • Bell's palsy
  • Brain injury
  • Cancer
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Cirrhosis
  • Depression
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Gastrointestinal ulcers
  • Heart disease
  • Heatstroke
  • Hepatitis
  • Migraine
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Sports injury
  • Stroke
But yeah I'm sure it will heal Bryan's brain in no time :skip:

I mean, Bryan isn't the fragile glass body/brain that he's been portrayed as, but he's also a fukking moron when it comes to his safety. This is the same dude that came back from a neck injury and decided to do straight up 90s AJPW head drops "just to see" how good his neck was. And kept doing the diving headbutt. And then, after an entire career of significant concussions dating back from training, decided to add a shoot headbutt rush that drew blood multiple times and gave him yet another concussion that effectively ended his career.

WWE has every right to not trust him and not put him back in the ring. The last time they did, he went over the top to prove he was okay and fukked himself up again within 3 months. He's made it clear before this that he's going to return to the ring and I have zero doubts he'll have a few months of very safe matches with minimal bumps and then start doing dangerous shyt again, then fukk himself up again. Hopefully he stays doing safe or comedy matches in ROH or PWG and not go to NJPW and kill himself, then come back a few months later and take a bump in the ring to show that he's tough and coming back like Shibata did.

NJPW's concussion protocol post Shibata is "wait until the end of the tour to check guys out, even if they get KO'd twice in a week", so the idea of Bryan going to NJPW with their current style and medical protocol sounds like a recipe for disaster.

His match with Roman at Fastlane 2015 is still so brutal to watch. The amount of recklessness is insane. It's like after he came back from that neck injury he made a point to go out there and go harder to prove a point and he ended up paying for it.

He really wanna die in tha ring.
Exactly. Then when he's lying in a high school ring somewhere with brain matter and blood leaking from his nose and ears, people are gonna hit the "Why didn't anyone stop him? why were y'all begging for his return? why didn't Brie say anything?:sadbron:"

I mean any nfl players get cleared after horrific concussions right? Then after their retirement they wonder why they are in the middle of walmart.

I'd mark out for Daniel being back and if its with anyone it should be with the WWE. Dude became a megastar there and imo its the only true place where this would feel big time. Like aj vs Bryan boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

But ofc he wouldn't go to WWE and ofc I'll be like smh he why did people let him wrestle?! when its all said and done.
