so he meant to attack the basket against 4 defenders spin and pass ??????
you think attacking the basket while there is 4 defenders is a condone play?
you played ball in a school team?
that shyt will get you benched quicker then a motherfukka..
the right play would have been to wait for his teammates and run a play..
put gasol 2 meters behind.. wtf do you think happens with that pass?
Who's debating if it was the right thing to do? He passed the ball on purpose. Bottomline.
Lebron is one of the most dominant scorers in the history of the game thus far in his career...the numbers absolutely do not lie in that regard...if people were to say he can't score, they'd be absolutely wrong...the "he's would rather pass than score" thing was far as I can tell always about last second shots and things of that nature...and there were stats that actually bore that out I believe....in Shaq's case, his blocks actually do speak very specifically towards his defense at the rim...he was as good of a shot blocker as the numbers sugguest...doesn't speak much else about his activity level on defense otherwise though, especially since the loudest knock on his defense was his mobility and effort level away from the basket...being a notorious target in pick and rolls and suchNo response to this?
We all know Kobe doesn't like to pass, Bron would rather pass or make the right play than score, and Shaq was lazy ass fukk on defense.
Who has ever really criticized Kobe's ability to pass? The issues with his passing are that he doesn't look to do it, he doesn't do it often enough, and he often seems more concerned with making it a highlight on his end (going behind the back or doing a no look pass when it isnt necessary) than delivering the ball where his teammate can catch and shoot in rhythm.
The numbers say otherwise. He is always 1 or 2 in assists among shooting guards. He doesn't make the pass just to make the pass. He's won 5 chips playing that way so why change. He makes unwarranted flashy passes at times but it is not often. Plus he's great at passing to a teammate that has a better angle or position to make pass to a teammate in scoring position. That's the better basketball play then always trying to get an assist.

Can't agree. a lot of his passes are actually given to WIDE OPEN PLAYERS in rhythm. Most of Kobe's assists are to wide open players on the perimeter or a dump down in the post. For all of Kobe ball hog shenanigens, many times he set up teammates with open shots only for them to miss. Remember he only goes into Psycho Bean when players are missing wide open shots, when they are stagnant on offense or when he feels he has something prove vs. player A or players A and B.
People always act like Kobe is the only player that has ever had a teammate blow an assist for him.
When I say he often tries to make passes a highlight on his own end, I'm talking about 1-2 times a game or so. It's not like he's doing it every time but he's doing it way more often than he should be.
Because he has played most of his career with a lame duck point guard. He has been the de facto point guard on almost all of his teams, of course he's going to have more assists than shooting guards that are playing off the ball next to a real point guard. It's like comparing LeBron's assist numbers to other small forwards, of course they're going to be higher
still doesn't take away the fact that has the assists.
So did Tyreke Evans in Sacramento, and he was a ballhogging black hole of a shooting guard.

Yes, it was a very good play by Kobe, maybe one of Kobe's best passes ever (nothing fukks with that oop to Shaq against POR though).
However, it's not that impressive on any type of grand scale. That wouldn't make a top twenty highlight play for anybody who IS considered a good passer.
Edit:
And nobody thinks Kobe CAN'T pass. He's one of the greatest players of all-time with a very good basketball IQ who can see the floor. It's that people think Kobe WON'T/DOESN'T pass.
