Yes, it was a very good play by Kobe, maybe one of Kobe's best passes ever (nothing fukks with that oop to Shaq against POR though).
However, it's not that impressive on any type of grand scale. That wouldn't make a top twenty highlight play for anybody who IS considered a good passer.

And nobody thinks Kobe CAN'T pass. He's one of the greatest players of all-time with a very good basketball IQ who can see the floor. It's that people think Kobe WON'T/DOESN'T pass.

The argument to counter the "Kobe doesn't/can't" pass stuff is that he's a true prototypical/traditional shooting guard (not a combo guard, not a "point forward") who's spent the vast majority of his career playing in a structured motion offense.. and still has averaged close to 5 assist per game...not a single instance of him passing ... nice play though
