Life is absurd. Lean into it.
They could go the imposter route, because he did die...Steel, Eradicator, Superboy and Cyborg Supes.
They can keep the movie simple and use that storyline, and that storyline alone. Cyborg Supes as the villain and perhaps kinda can reestablish Superman as a Savior for the public and just perhaps he can stop being so emo because he's simply happy to be alive.
But an out and out black superman won't fly with the American people.
