Thats not an exaggeration or a metaphor. His father Joseph had him as part of the Jackson 5 at SIX YEARS OLD. By 9 he was a professional and by 11 he was signed to Motown. They did 3 practices a day, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. They toured extensively. They were raised Jehovah Witnesses so they didn’t celebrate Christmas, Halloween, New Years, 4th Of July, etc. He was home schooled with his brothers from the ages of 11 to 17 so he had no friends. He was forced to sometimes watch while Jackie and Jermaine fukked groupies in the bed next to him. His father would brag openly to them about cheating on his mother. His best friends growing up were pet rats and snakes. He lived with his parents until he was 28.

Because he idealized walt Disney and wanted Neverland to resemble Disney World. Plus, MJ didn't have to have his place looking "a certain way" since he was the most famous person on the planet. If the woman didn't like it, she could get the hell off his 2500 acre property.
