Calisthenics is for life.

When you put your legs on the ground and stand up out of a chair or off the bed, that's a body squat.

If you use your hands to push down and life yourself up out of a chair to a standing position, that's a triceps dip.

If you're laying on your stomach for whatever reason and use your arms to push yourself up, then extend a leg and stand up, that's a pushup to a lunge.

These are exercises you can do daily, that you do naturally that you can do for the entire duration of your life word to Jack Lalaine.

Otherwise you're going to be one of those obese or frail people who one day sit in a chair, lay in a bed or fall on the floor and don't have the strength to get back up.
Can you gain muscle/strength if you're consistent with it, though?

:ohhh:

It’s a gimmick, different from weight room body building, something new to do and more flashy.

But those guys are definitely in the weight room and possibly running steroid cycles.

They are too big to just be doing body weight exercises.

Edit: I don’t even really know. They are pumped in their videos. They are definitely not walking around that full throughout the day. I would say some of them are natural but still hit the gym.

These dudes were probably skinny kids, ate clean and bulked up. Possibly a little pharmaceutical assistance. Believable though. It's hard to be lean and jacked like that powerlifting. You usually put on mass but don't get ripped like that.

Legs look underdeveloped relative to their upper bodies. They should be squatting 500+ lbs easily but I'm thinking they focus more on beach muscles. You gotta add weight to grow the legs.

Man no it’s not,why do y’all believe this?

You can add weight and strain the muscle just as much as you would lifting weights.
Yes there is fam.

And we will never truly know unless someone sticks to body weight exercises for the rest of their life and is natural.

And the Bam Baam guy has videos of him in the gym :mjlol:

Genetics may come into play a bit. I know some dude in Nigeria who've never lift weights but are cut up like a slab.

They do work manual labour so that may factor in as well.
The fishers in Ghana are diced too. But yea genetics and diet play a big role.

There are still some things I want to do in the gym while I'm young, but I think once I'm in my 60s or w/e I will switch to calisthetics, at least for upper body stuff. I'm not quite convinced that you can grow quickly with calisthetics, but you can definitely maintain.
